Yes, UMFH is indeed still alive and kicking. In fact, I have some great news. It's currently about to enter beta stage...I am uploading this week. Sorry I couldn't grab anyone from RPG Town, I couldn't find the site while I was looking for testers...and now I have more than enough testers. So...to those who care...UMFH might actually be out sooner than I had anticipated. I'm still deciding whether or not to add another optional dungeon...this won't slow down beta testing...I'll go ahead with beta. I'm sure I can test the dungeon myself if I decide to add it in. If I do, official release may be delayed about 2 weeks or so. If not, excpect to see chapter one before the hollidays. Current playtime is about 1 hour and 40 mins...that's with me playing it and knowing exactly where to go next. The really good thing is that every system I need is complete....so from here on out it's just a matter of doing the rest of the chapters. Thanks, and keep and eye out for the release very, very soon.

Yeah, I was working on the optional dungeon a bit, and before I knew it...I had already done too much not to include it. So I guess you'll be seeing an optional dungeon if all goes well. It's basically a town...a sort of a ghost town that you can choose to explore if you want...at your own peril hehe. It's not easy, and you don't have to do it right away...you can come back for it once you get more party members. However, if you do not perform the quest before a certain event takes place...that quest will be lost to you forever. Anyways, like I said, the ghost town, or Old Villa, isn't easy...but then again, difficult tasks often reward well.

Well, this is actually chapter one only...probably about 2 hours worth...maybe 3 with the optional dungeon. In any case this game's been about 6 months in the making...just for chapter one...I don't think that's "quick" considering Legion Saga 3 took a year, and that's a full game hehe.

I think that BR said earlier that the game starts with the Orders disbanding, and then goes back in time . . . So yeah, we'll be in it unless my memory is THAT bad, or if BR has changed this.

O hey Rolin...I didn't even realize it was you lol. All I kept reading was the "Trance" part...I kept missing the "Rolin" part. Yeah, it starts out with all the Orders...so you'll get to play all the characters at first except for the main character. There will also be a little boss fight for you guys to demonstrate your skills lol. However, you won't see the formation attacks until probably the second chapter, this is due to the fact that formations require 4 people to perform...and you won't get the 3rd and 4th characters until chapter 2. I know what you're thinking..."Well how come we can't use formations when all the Orders are there?" Well, simply put...if I do that, then there won't be anything to look forward to. The formations are a complicated set of attacks outlined in the Book of War that you will be able to use. If I include everything right at the start, it kinda spoils the fun of "discovering" things, ya know what I mean? Plus, there will be enough to keep you guys going since you will be able to use the Fusion Icon system. Icons will allow you to do 4 things: -Fuse it to your armor -Fuse it to your weapon -Use it as an item -Use it as a Gift When used as an item, the icon will invoke it's Minor spell...which hits all enemies and will do different functions such as drain life, lower their attack, etc. Minor spells DO NOT require the use of spirit points. Using the icon as a Gift requires spirit points, this will affect all enemies and cause significant damage which gets stronger as the caster levels up. Anyway, the animations are fun to watch and there are 9 icons total, each will allow you attack in 3 different ways, and can also be fused to your armor...I think that's more than enough to sustain your for the time being. The formations will come later...not to mention the counterpart attacks....which are even better hehe. There has also been one new system added since I last updated you guys on the systems, I won't go into that now...but it's called the "Last Dance"...only available to the main character. Basically, it's a reward if you raise all the weapons in your chosen category to maximum...you will then be able to perform the "Last Dance" for that particular weapon category. It's to give you a reason to want to maximize each weapon...more on that as the game progresses. Raising weapon levels also bestows very noticeable changes. For one...your strength in battle increases siginifcantly instead of just a extra points of damage. And also each time the weapon level rises...it's attack animation changes...so it's not boring. Well, I've talked enough...but just so you can have something to look at until the release...here's one more screenshot:

One question...does anyone have any complaints if I was to use rar instead of zip? Or maybe possibly ace? Simply because rar and ace have better compression rates.

Nevermind, I'll just zip it...I don't want people having problems with it.
Ok, the beta testers will receive the game tonight...so hopefully things will go smoothly.
