.Hack//Infection: Sure, the concept is cool and all, but you could beat the game in less than 24 hours without a struggle. The storyline gives you almost no answers, just more questions to keep you hooked on the series, and really bothers me. The music is medicore at best, their are VERY few tracks I liked. The battle system get's old; fast, and some of your party members will do stupid stuff in battle. Elk, for instance, would simply stand behind everyone and do nothing, time and time again. Sometimes you can't focus on the battle because you have to keep going to your chat menu in battle to make sure your other characters don't do stupid things (and actually fight!). The ending was unsatisfactory, and almost rivals the crappiness of the infamous Kain: Soul Reaver game's ending (even though I'v enever played it). My dad spent 30 dollars on this, for my birthday, it was a used copy, and this game was not worth 30 bucks. I could've gotten Xenosaga (doesn't matter...I rented it so many times I was close to the end anyway, I could've bought Wild Arms 3, But NO...! Final Fantasy X: I couldn't get into this game, I just couldn't. It's not that I didn't like it, I just didn't care for it. Your characters all joined you so fast, I swear, my party went from consisting two people, to 5 in less than 4 hours. Except for Yuna and Tidus, the rest of the cast get little time in the spotlight. But at least Square let them have some time..so I guess that's a plus. Besides for the hero and heroine of our little story, only Auron has any kind of shocking plot twist. The last boss will probably go down in history as one of the easiet bosses ever in a video game; even by Final Fantasy standards. For Christmas; 50 bucks..it's okay.. Breath Of Fire V: Good concept, they finally did something new with the BOF series, and just in time. It's a shame they screwed up their chance, this game is full of so many flaws, that it nearly ruins the unique atmosphere, and really cheapens how they've drastically changed the series in a better way. For one thing; there's only 3 characters, Ryu, (of course) Nina, and Lin. The many problem here is the fact that they have almost no backstory. Lin works with a terrorist group for example, well, how did she get there? Does she have any family? Did she join the group for revenge? Ryu is the same way; Why did he join the Rangers? Where'd he come from? None of these questions are answered. ...At least the game is challenging, this game is NOT for the weak of heart, if you can, fight against most enemies you see. If you do not train, you will be screwed later on. It's battle system is certainly original, a mix of strategy and RPG elements really makes it a welcome change from the standard Final Fantasy esque battle system. There's also a few plot holes... *small spoiler* Nina gets "sick" at a point in the game, so Ryu, being the brave guy that he is wants to bring her to the sky to save her. WTF? In the instruction booklet, they say the people retreated underground because the sky was full of flames, the trees were gone, and the water was undrinkable, it was a wasteland. How the heck did he decide bringing her their would save her? (I'm not telling you the full story of what's wrong with Nina, but you don't really need to know..) The graphics were only medicore but one thing kept me from hating this game; the music. This is Capcom's FF7, their Xenogears, their Suikoden 2 when compared to music. Basically, alot of it deals with the fact that a countdown is going (as a certain "something" is counting down with Ryu..) and so the battle music is fairly frantic..or maybe it's like that because it is battle music... ..50 bucks! Agh! Now this I REALLY regret! If I sell it, I'll still lose 20 bucks...darn my bad judgement! *end small spoiler* Lunar 2 Eternal Blue: 60 dollars; for a game I barely know about, I had a good feeling about this one, and it payed off. I really do like this game. It has so much life to it, it's character's, it's music, all of it's rather good. Even the script is witty, (the Lunar team is semi-famous for their scripts) and the anime movies are only icing on the cake..with the game, you get a box, full of a music CD, Making of Lunar disc, pendant, and a map of the Lunar World..I'd better get all that for 60 bucks.. Honorable mention for games I'm glad I bought: Vagrant Story Xenogears Brave Fencer Musashi(den)

I heard your party members are so stupid they buy stuff they don't need or can't even equip Well, for me I've never regretted buying an RPG. I have regretted bugying other games though. E.g. Luigis Mansion (You could also beat that in 24 hours) and Wave Race (Mediocre game extrordinare).

Well im happy about morrowind 3 the elder scrolls for xbox. It's doesnt have the greatest graphics but *I* think it's got an awesome story and it's got the greatest character creation thing with 9 races(i think)about 15 classes and it even lets you create your own class oh yeah and you dont even have to follow the plot if you want to you could get your guy up to level 100 then beat the game. And another game im happy i bought is LoZ WW. I think it's awesome but i wish Link got a fairy like Navi to help cause it's HARD. But i wish they made it longer.

I'm glad I didn't buy BoF5, I knew it sucked. Lufia: Ruins of Lores is the same way with the plot holes and lack of background story. The ending was a disappointment. No long credit with awesome ending music, and worst of all, not retry mode or anything like it! But I'm still glad I bought the game, since I'm a fan of the Lufia series. I'm glad I bought Arc the Lad Collection. I'm still not done with it yet, and the fourth one is coming June 23, I beleive.

I regretted buying Lufia The Legend Return, for a Lufia game,it suck,I stopped playing and exchanged it for Dragon Warrior 3 though, and I really like the remake for GBC.Now,let's see,Lufia was good,Lufia 2 was great,Lufia 3 suck,Lufia The Ruins of Lore is very good, which does not belong to the list?
I love Vagrant Story,I like how they mix different RPG types in it,and the dark story rock, the storywritter really did a good job,it was worth the money!
I'm much into Xenogears,it's an awesome game, the sad thing is that most of the time you must fight in Mechas, even on the world map since you never know what kind of enemy you'll fight,I like fighting in Mechas, but it's annoying sometimes since Mechas can't learn combos like you can as human.
Well,I like Lunar Legend, but maybe I wouldn't if I played the PS1 version, considering I saw how you reacted to it...

E.g. Luigis Mansion (You could also beat that in 24 hours) 24 hours? I can beat that game in about 5 hours. I also don't regret buying any of the RPGs I own. I did dislike FF8, FF9, and FF10, but I spent over 50 hours on each of them (over 100 on FFX), so as far as I'm concerned it was a good way to spend my money.

I don't regret buying Lunar Legend, even though I played the Ps version first. It was still fun to play. Lufia 3 did suck, but I still have the game. (cause I'm a Lufia fan) The only problems with the game is: #1 The randomly generated floors in every single dungeon rather than just the Ancient Cave. Also the Ancient Cave has twice as many floors as Lufia 2. Whoever made the game must really love randomly generated dungeons too much. #2 There were too many characters to keep track of. The last few don't even have too much involvement in the story, other than Milka. Also, 9 people can be in battle at once, but you have 12 toward the end of the game. I never used three of them, I just stick with the nine I have. Only 3 can attack each turn, with the exception of that dog-like capsule monster Moose and the secret 13th character. Majority of the characters don't get used in battle very much, so there's no point in them being there.

24 hours? I can beat that game in about 5 hours. I beat it in 3 But, if you do take the time to complete the game fully, there's a good 8-12 hours in Luigis Mansion. And it's a pretty original game, I mean, what other game has a skinny italian plumber running through a haunted house sucking up ghosts through a vacuum? But back on topic. A game I truly regret buying a year or two ago is Might and Magic VII. There was nothing wrong with the game itself, it's just the M&M VII was just so ... boring. But, I got it for £10 with two other excellant games - Grand Theft Auto II and and Thief: The Dark Project. You can get both Thief: The Dark Project and Thief 2: The Metal Age for £5 each in England now, and I really reccomend them because they're brilliant games. Very original and exciting.

Only one I regret is FF8. Too bad cause I like the setting and story but the Draw system is annoying as hell. Everything else I've enjoyed to some extent.

I forgot to mention how much I liked Wild Arms 2 (another impulse buy) and I've never played Lufia 3, but I need too..it can't be half as bad as you guys say it is if the same developers of Lufia 2 are on the job!

Yeah, Taito developed it and Natsume translated and everything, but one other company had part in it (forget the name). Long story short, they didn't make Taito very happy.
