I heard the randomly created dungeons really hurt it...

That's the main boring thing!
I really didn't like traveling huge 12 floors dungeon(a single floor is already huge),then, beat a boss, then having to go back all the way back through the dungeon that changed appearance...

Since I'm a fan of the series, I was patient enough to beat the game, and also go all the way down to the 200th floor of the Ancient Cave. The boss down there is brutal.

Regret: Legend of Dragoon The battle system was appallingly slow and the graphics were a pile of turd. The story ripped off FF7. Pile of tripe! Glad: Suikoden 2 Glad I whipped it up off the shelf while I had the chance.

I find it sad I have yet to play Suikoden 2..but when I hear it's music, I can see why fans of the series dislike Suikoden 3 so much, it's msuic is a major let down; that goes double for that lame regular battle theme it has. All the other battle themes I liked very much so...
Legend of Dragoon was not that good, so I find it hard to believe it's a best seller. I disliked it's graphics, but come now Kamau, when did it rip off of FF7? Except for that strange creature you had to fight again and again that somewhat reminded me of Jenova (first time you had to fight it was in a volcano...anyone remember it's name..?). But who didn't love the plot twist with Rose..?

I don't remember, but when I got to the snowy mountain area, it screwed up my tv and made everything look greenish(even when watching some shows) cause there was too much white in it. @_@

LoD,ripped off FF7?You're joking...I've read your review(Kamau),here's something you should know when you past CD3:
SPOILERS:
Lloyd isn't a bad guy who want power,he's a good guy who wants Utopia,he's decieved by his emperor at the end of disk 3 when he learn the emperor needs to destroy the world to create the new specie that will bring Utopia to the world.
In FF7,was there a war that happened 11000 years ago opposing 2 different kind of species? No.The beast is called Viragos or something like that, they are created by the Winglies to annihilate dragoons.Where there any dragon you had to beat in FF7?Yikes,no... I never though the prison of Hellena was like the Reactor at the start of FF7...surely cause they're different things. Were there a black monster in FF7(I'm not saying what it is)? No.Why not adding voices to the gameplay?Sure now that wasn't a good thing...Battle system,it was fun at the start but it's true it get annoying and boring after a while.Characters deal few damages?Raise addition level duh.
END OF SPOILERS

I saw Threads of Fate and Septerra Core in the store a while back and picked them up because they were cheap, and I mean $9.99 cheap, and they both looked pretty fun. Luckily for me, they were both great.

I heard LoD sucked not not because it was an FF7 rip off but just because it plain sucked.

..It, really wasn't that good of a game, but it certainly wasn't a FF7 rip off to the core.
And Kamau, please don't even try to make such a shallow statement to make LoD seem otherwise...

*giggles*
OK well some elements seemed to be total rip-offs. Dart and Shana reminded me a helluva lot of Cloud and Tifa. They even looked a lot like them. Having a silver-haired, black-dressed villain was the icing on the cake.
