Yes, well, I still rush around the corridors of the facility like something's gonna jump out at me.
...perhaps that was better left unsaid.

If what I'm about to say makes any sense at all, let me know: I'm not scared to be scared. Terror is one of the greatest rushes one can experience in life and if one wasn't busy being terrified, it would probably be more enjoyable.
Anyway, I voted for Silent Hill as scariest but the Resident Evil series has and always will be my favorite survival horror series.
House of the Dead (The Original in the Arcades) also rocked excessively.

..Eternal Darkness was an okay game, scary in a way. But not as scary as SH. You see, to be scared, you either do it easily like the The Jacket, or something has to get into your head, it has to set an atmosphere of suspicion. The town of Silent Hill is almost always engulfed in fog, therefore, you never really know what's going to jump out, the radio starts to emit static, you know something is around you, your senses become attuned to any and every thing are around you, you can hear it moving steadily closer, you can almost smell the stench of death being emitted from the creature's gruesome body, you turn around...and you see nothing. You sigh, relieved..but the the static blares from the radio, an ominous warning that came far too late as you turn around to see the faceless, but still grotesque creature standing before you, arm raised, your eyes are stuck looking at the creature's body, it's stench is stuck in your nose, making your flesh crawl in terror and disgust. You tyr run, but the creature's arm comes down on you back, leaving a bloody scrath and awaking you from your terrified state, your mind is racing with images of your life, regreat and sorrow is all you see as the creature's arm comes down again as you struggle to crawl free and try to make a break for it, it knocks both your will and strength to live as in one stroke, you lie on the groundk, taking the horrific creature's barrage of blows. Your vision is now blurred, the fog is growing denser, you lie in a puddle of youw own blood, you feel your life quickly fading away liek a passing dream..and yet one thought is still in your mind as you pass on..taken prematurely from life's exquiste pain from that creature that seemed to walk from the very bowels of hell..
Game Over: >Load Save End Game
Your pulse is racing, your hands are sweating as you hold the controller tightly, could it have been, you say, simply another game?

You're exaggerating now DMC...You can't be that scared in a videogame, seriously not, unless you're the kind who is afraid of everything.
However,if it was in real life, then I would not say that.
When will the videogames will all be so real that you seem to live in it(the kind where you are in the game instead of using controllers)?I believe this day will never happen...

For creep effect I give it to Eternal Darkness. You shouldn't actually get scared but alot of the insanity effects creeped you out. The erasing of the memory card, now that was scary!

Then don't ever get a Mega-Memory Card for the Playstation. There's a certain time and way to put it in and take it out, doing it wrong could result in the loss of data. I was once at a friends house with it in and he reached up and hit the button with the card still in. Sheer terror. Thankfully he had his wits about him and held the button in until I got the card out.
DMC: That was cool as frozen pie.

yeah, you should almost always buy official brands for memory cards, etc.
Eternal Darkness just makes you pretend that your card is getting erased at one point of insanity. It's hilarious.

I never bought those big memory cards,I lost my data when I tried saving a very old game on it,can't remember what it was,but I'll never trust very old games again...the game told me it just formated the card,so guess...

House of the Dead (The Original in the Arcades) also rocked excessively. Hohoho, someone mentioned House of the Dead I remember that as being the only game I ever started talking to, because I found it so hard in some parts, causing people walking by in the arcade to stare at me. Well, maybe partially because I was saying things like "Oh, you like that, don't you? *shooting undead* back for more, eh? [Mr T voice] I pity tha foo' who come afta' me! I kick yo ass![/Mr T voice]" Great fun, House of the Dead I still play House of the Dead 2 every now and again, even though I have trouble just getting into the mansion at the start of the game ^_^

That's creepy as anything because I don't remember typing "frozen pie." I almost never make allusions or references to pie in my post because it has become so commonplace. Ah well.

Dude, why did you feel the need to bump this topic up from the last page? Why? Don't you people ever wonder why no one responds to old threads? Someone lock this.
