I bet you also didn't know that Gilgamesh has almost as many appearances in Squaresoft games as the four soldiers Vicks, Biggs, Wedge and Piette. At least two of these soldier boys have been in a whopping 8 games. Gilgamesh, or a variation on him, has been in 6.

I knew about Vicks, Biggs, and Wedge. Piette.....I don't remember that one.

Well, I finished FFVI once. I loved it, but then when I wanted to start a new game I thought it was boring. I stopped playing for the 2nd time alot before Terra transformed.
Anyway, the RPGs I played and stopped playing after a while... SD3 (finished it eventually), Romancing Saga (Yuk), FFIV (got to the final boss then quit), FFV (same as IV), Lufia 2 (barely played, didn't like it), BoF2 (for the GBA, crappy game), BoF3 (I downloaded it and played it on a PSX emulator, wasn't much fun), and tons of tons of other RPG's. I just don't really remember. Oh, and also Suikoden2. I liked the game, but I had to delete it because there wasn't any space on my computer.

Gilgamesh was in 1/3/5/8/9, no? I'm so sure I'm wrong.

I think those were the ones. And counting Ozzie, who was based on Gilgamesh, that makes 6.

CT doesn't count, it isn't FF.

I was talking about SQUARESOFT (now SQUARENIX, I know) games, but the two soldiers showed up in other games as well. They were mostly used in FF games.
How many people actually used the Crusader summon?

Does FF6 have any sidequests? I'm up to the part where you have to fly to the floating island, and I'm wondering whether there's anything extra to do.

I mean, ideally you can beat the game and only have gotten 3 characters. Well, I heard that anyways. I've never tried it, but can you skip getting Sabin, and still get Edgar and Setzer?

I don't know, but I don't recommend doing so if you can skip it,it would just make things harder.

Yeah, Sabin's Bum Rush attack (gotten through a side quest) was one of the attacks I depended on the most in the last battle, that and Shadow's throw ability. They both do max damage (9999), shadow's does if you throw the right kind of throwing items/weapons.
