I can't believe it. i actually like an FF game prior to seven. I've had it for almost a year but stoppe dplayig on it ages ago becaus eI got bored. But now that I have loads of free time I've started playing it again. i'm up to the part where *spoiler* Terra turns into an Esper */spoiler* and I'm completely hooked.
Only now that i have enough free time to play it have I fully appreciated it. The reason I think I like it so much is because I feel that it is the Final Fantasy closest to FFIX.
So, has anyone else ever played a game once, and hated it. then, when you came back to, were completely hooked?

Hmmm...Suikoden 2. I played it then stopped when I died or something. I got bored and didn't play it for nearly a year. When I came back it turned into my favorite RPG series.

Pokemon! ( come'on laugh ) I never liked the series, but the game is cool! At the beginnig it was a little stupid and I dont like it... later when I was in the hospital I only had the pokemon to gameboy and I dont have anything else to play... so I start it to play and I like it!

Well, I played FFVII about two or three times, but never got very far cause I hated how you stay in Midgar for the longest time, then you get to see the world map after several hours of gameplay. I just played it not to long ago, and got through midgar in a lot less time, probably cause I knew where everything was. Now as soon as I have the time, I'm going to continue playing it.

I like the older FF games. They're lots of fun.

Uhh, I've came back to games I hated. It turned out I still hated them. Eg: 7th saga.
By the way, many people consider FF6 to be the best Final Fantasy game.

For Final Fantasy serie, sometimes I got trouble to decide between FF6 or 7 which is my fave...
When I first played Lufia,I got bored at a place cause I couldn't get pass it,and then, after a week that I didn't play I tried again and got it in one shot,so I continued.
...Guts vs Spider Man...what the?!As action figures?!... ...You got time to waste Blake...

FFVI has been my favorite game ever since it first came out and I popped it into my SNES. It's pure magic.
I haven't really had games that I hated and then liked after playing them again. However, alot of times after you play a great game and then play it over again you gain more fondness towards it.

Well... I played the final fantasy 3 the legend for the emulator! I liked it very much, and when I start I only stop after the end... It's a great game of the final fantasy collection... You should try it!

Speaking of FFVI, how many got all the dreams about Shadow's past?

I've seen all 5. 6 if you include Relm's dream if you don't wait for Shadow.

Don't spoil the story, but how far about through the game is the Magitek Factory?

Good, I'm enjoying this too much for the game to end at the end of the factory.
