I would recommend that you NOT play any Breath of Fire games. They sometimes attack you even before the battle screen finishes fading back to the map.

I'm not sure, Agent. Not in BoF4. The game was fun. But Capcom did something, every monster in this game is annoying. One poisons you when you attack it, one evades everything. But... the monsters DO attack you first, that is unless you have a Pre-emptive attack.

Never played BoF4 actually. I played diligently through the first 3 then couldn't stand it anymore. They lowered the encounter rate for BoF4? Nice...it's about time really. BoF 1 and 2 could really be agonizing in certain dungeons (the ones followed by insane bosses with no saves in sight THEN followed by a nice long walk in reverse to get back out). The fact that the items supposedly lowering the encounter rate NOT doing much (if anything) didn't help.

I've heard that BoF3 is difficult. But BoF4 was easy and fun. Really.

BoF 3 really wasn't that difficult. It had a ton of non-repetitive mini games that could throw you off since you never really got any practice time. Overall though, I was kind of disappointed because if you've played the Breath of Fire Series (not sure about 4 however) you know they always pull the same plot devices (esp the ending).

I played a bit of BoF2... I got to the part where older Ryu took that dog and he became one of your party members. But same plot devices? Mmm. Anyways, BoF4 is great, really really great. You should buy it. Believe me, I don't think it's gonna be like BoF3. BoF3 had bad reviews.

BoF2 was good, but it's true the encounter rate is awfully high but I like it,I've been able to get through the entire game without dying a single time.BoF4 wasn't all that amazing,it was good, but it wasn't long enough for me and I found the monsters way too easy to beat, for BoF3,I don't know,I never played it,as for the first one,it took me a lot of time before I could get a second character, but it was still good. And now,for the most In-Depth storyline,I choose FF7.

I like BOF3 the best in the series. Had a decent story and I liked the characters. The dragons were pretty cool in 3 also.

[glow=green,2,300]I think Final Fantasy VII has the most devolped and in-debth story line. Nothing can come close to matching that![/glow]

Well I haven't played it but from what I've heard Xenogears makes a lot of religious references...
I'm gonna have to vote for FF7 here but mainly because I haven't played Xenogears or FFT. BoF4 didn't have a very deep storyline but I thought it certainly was a great game, better than BoF3.

I voted for Suikoden 2, even though it doesn't have much depth, I hate Final Fantasy 7. I TRY TO prove my 1337ness by hating populart things! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

FF Tactics. It's all about war and politics (sort of). I thought it was pretty deep.

Yes, Xenogears has plenty of religious references, as well as psychological ones. It's a great game to play through again and analyze.

FF7 was most in depth game, which is why i kinda didn't like it, to much to worry about. I'm still trying to figure all of it out. But i still think that FFX is the best!

How come you hate FF7? I thought it was great. Nothing close to FF9 though.
