Ok, first I'd like to get some first impressions on this screen: I realize it's not the flashiest screenshot, and please try not to compare it to the graphics seen in UMFH (at least not yet, the nifty screens will come later on). What I'm concerned about is the COLOR scheme ONLY. The dimensions of the message box is the exact same as the ones in UMFH so they should be fine. Again, please comment on the color scheme/design only. Now for another question: I currently have 5 set characters, they are: Name: Romero Class: The Dormant Cell (main character) Name: Salazar Class: Sellsword (Mercenary type guy) Name: Rozen Class: High Born (Magic-user type person) Name: Diana Class: Android (Duh) *I know the name sounds rather cheesy for this class, but there's a reason for it. Name: Dera Leon Class: Fallen (Undead-Ninja type guy) Those above are set and won't change. However, the last class, I'm debating whether or not I should change: Name: Galadan Class: Witch Hunter The Witch Hunter isn't necessary for the story, but I need 6 characters to round it out...it would be great if you can suggest a cool class, or maybe a mix of classes? Thanks.

The color scheme on the message box is a little too bright and colorful. A little too rainbow-y, you know? I could be wrong, but I don't think that the brightness of the colors really goes with the mood of the game itself.
As for a cool class, maybe you could have an engineer/scientist kinda person? Or maybe a healer kinda person?

Given my opinions already, but I'll re-state them. The text box seems to fit the picture and mood well, but maybe you might consider shrinking down the portrait eventually, or at least finding a different way to introduce it if possible.

The text box looks amazing, I've never seen one so colorful ever before. The portrait is a tad bit large, as Magi stated before. But I absolutely love the panorama/picture you have there. Overall, it looks great!
(What I'm wondering is how you got that font for RM2k3. I've never known how to get the fonts corrected on it before. Is it the RTP itself, or do you replace the fonts in the RM2k3 Fonts folder?)

Hmm...cool class eh? Well, you've got a magic user, and plenty of power...how about a Paladin? He could be the healer, but he/she wouldn't suck in combat either. A few holy-based attacks could be handy too. Heck, you could even program heal spells to hurt the undead guy if its possible to do so.

I'm using the DBS. I've been messing around with RM2k3, and from what I can see...just about anything is possible with the inclusion of common events in the DBS.
A Paladin...hmm...
I prefer to use classes not commonly used though.
As for the background pic I used...that's actually a combination of a few pictures.
Any other suggestions? Don't worry, if I use your suggestion, I'll be sure to put you in the credits.
EDIT: The font is one of the default fonts in RM2k3. If you can't change it, copy the font that comes with RM2k3, and paste it into your Windows font folder.

The colorful text box was taken from a pretty well known picture. Good idea. All in all, it "blends" well together imo. EDIT: about fonts... the rm2k3 one looks better than the rm2k one. But I don't think I have installed rm2k3 anywhere... anyone willing to send it to me??

Le me see...I'll just run down my class list...
Demon Blade - Pretty much the anti-Paladin. Specializes in curses. Dragoon - We've all seen this guy before, and with a game named after them, I doubt you'd want to use it. But hey, no sword! Pyromancer - You've already got a mage. Necromancer - You've got an undead guy. Archer - Fairly generic, but can get unique attacks based around his/her weapon.

The main character turns into different stuff. I'm thinking along the lines of an Alchemist. Ya know, where he can mix and match ingredients and things. I just don't necessarily want to use the term "Alchemist" if I can help it. Hmm...maybe Witch Hunter will work just fine? Meh...

For the record, I'm planning to use some alchemy stuff in my game too. ^^
If Dormant Cell turns into different stuffs, it may enhance the gameplay a lot. A bit like a chara able to morph depending of the situation requires.
