Reviewed Game: Until My Finest Hour
Game Creator: Bloodrose
*Note: Anything within this review is based on opinion, as opposed to fact, I will ignore anyone who replies with a disagreement*
GAMEPLAY: (6)
Usually in games, I find too much words, and not enough action, and UMFH almost hit the mark on this. The game itself has so much potential, but I myself didn't particularly like the "townies star in RM2k prequel" side of it. Although it was nice to see them, it made me struggle to play further as I didn't see any thought put into characters. They were all based on real people. Hence, I found playing the game difficult.
STORYLINE: (8)
The storyline was great, however, and the climax of the "15 years earlier" scene was emotional to say the least. I found myself caring for the character, and hoping the little girl was alright. Just HEARING the whips was enough to hit the climax.
GRAPHICS: (5)
I liked the graphics, but in my opinion, it was way too clutered, and even in my well lit room, it was hard to make out some things. I was stuck in the forrest for ages, simply because I couldn't see anything for that d**n picture! The quality of the graphics was good, but the they were way too overused. The DBS was used, but visually it was looked good.
AUDIO: (4)
The music in its self fit the mood, but it was really odd. Sometimes there wouldn't be any, and I'd be left listening to rain rain rain. I don't know if this was intended, but d**n was it annoying.
CUSTOMIZATION: (7)
This mark was only increased because of the fact that a CMS was used at all. I myself didn't particularly like it, and it was hard trying to find my way about it. I had to reinstall Microsoft Word from my newly formatted Hard Drive to find anything. But the fact that he tried was respectfull.
REPLAY: (5)
I myself couldn't replay this. Everything I've said before should cover as reasons. Enough said.
*OVERALL*: 5.8/10
In my opinion, it's not such a good game. No offence to the creator, or anyone who thinks otherwise. I just don't like it.
