hi im new at rpg maker 2000 and theres some many things i dont know but i was wodering how can i fix this problem i have. I have created a map with a event where a char starts talking to your hero and then joins the party.and you can move frelly and the events stops then as soon as you exit the map into for example a world map in the game and i enter the same map where i was before where the other hero joined my team the event of the charachter introducing him self and joins the team keeps happening al the time repeating it self :-[this happens in all my maps how do i make an event only happen once in the map and never again.help would be much appreciated

[glow=blue,2,300]The answer is quite simple so long as you have a good understanding of switches. When the event is done, (where the chara joins) make a switch called "chara 1 joined" or something. Then make a new page, and make it blank everywhere, e.g.Graphic and stuff. Then make that second page triggered only if the switch "chara 1 joined" is on. I hope I explained it right man.[/glow]
