Hrm...very interesting thing to bring up...
I assume this happens after some REALLY tramatic experience... maybe even after something good or plain weird.
Basically... its something that was forgotten then later remembered, but you usually can't put your finger down on it... kinda like early child hood memories.

Well, I get it all the time, and in black and white too. My year four teacher told me it was a slow-nerve that recorded everythin a second late or something.

I think that it is either
a) A memory from a pass life
or
b) Caused by a dream which you cant remember.

I agree with the dream idea.. 'cause many dreams aren't remembered and many think that dreams can prodict the future.. so Deja Vu can be a sign of that..
though it maybe what teacher said..

I get Deja Vu so often that it's just plain f**ked up. I can barely shoot some hoops outside for a few minutes and come back without it happening again.
Although it's kinda different with me. I know what is going to happen, and if it's something that I do, like if I tripped over a step or something, I still can't do anything about it.
Wierd, huh?

I get deja vu all the time.
The way I see it it works like this...
You see a man throwing a tennis ball to his dog, then when it goes to your brain it goes into the memory part of your brain and it pops up as a memory, right as it happens.

About an hour before my Granda died I knew he was going to die that night. A week before my other Granda died I said to my best freind "I have a feeling my granda is going to die" and on the tuesday he did. Strange isnt it?

THAT is freaky.
SLIGHTLY off topic but sorta in the same category . . . Anyone ever have an out-of-body experience? I did once, when I fell asleep in Bio (1st time . . . Stupid moronic school system! I got 90s both times d**n you!) . It was all hazy n stuff. I had this view from the ceiling, and I saw one of the kids in the class, who was always a troublemaker, running out of the class. Someone smacks me in the back of the head and wakes me up, and apparantly the kid was gone and the teacher had gone after him.
