Lunar - Very well said.
SleepyTemplar - I don't think any human is higher worth than the other. Each and every person has his own defects, and so no one is perfect. It's not like I think ThyInquisitor worth less than me, but what he said was just not right. He could have just said what you said, instead of using childish and idiotic jokes. I respect his opinion about the circle of life, but what he did is just not right. Using happy symbols such as smileys, when talking about people who have dedicated their lifes for their country, I consider that as heartlessness. You may find that wrong, SleepyTemplar, but I consider someone like that as a heartless person. I hope that answers your questions, SleepyTemplar.

I don't think you really understand what SleepyTemplar is saying. He's not saying you think you're a better person that Inq, rather, he's saying that you hold the 7 astronauts who died as better people than the thousands that die every day from even more terrible deaths. How could a space shuttle exploding be less terrible than anything? Well, it went BOOM, and that's it. The astronauts probably didn't even know something was wrong until the shuttle blew up. In fact, they were probably all hyped up and excited about going into space. They died excited and content, knowing that they were doing something fantastic. What about the women who are beaten to death by their drunk husbands? They die in pain, and with fear and sorrow in their thoughts. Or even more who are raped, and then killed? Frankly, being in an exploding space shuttle is one of the best deaths you could ask for. And trust me, there are a lot more beaten and raped woman in the cemetary than there are astronauts.

If that's what SleepyTemplar meant, I have no idea why he even thought of that. I don't think the astronauts are better than other people. Even if it was a street very *friendly* person, it would still be unfair to talk about her like that.

So you are in a constant state of grief due to the thousands that die each day? Do you scan the obituary pages reading of those who've died?

Don't be redicilous, SleepyTemplar. It's not like I'm in grief because of the Columbia. It's just very sad, and I can't stand to watch people joking about it, but when you see something like that on T.V, it's not easy forgetting. This whole conversation between me and ThyInquisitor would be just the same, with diffrent cases. Except if it is his relative, of course.

www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/africa/02/01/zimbabwe.train/index.htmlNot once yesterday after watching the news almost all day did i see anyone talking about it. Now are the 7 people that died in the spaceship more important then the 40+ people who died in Zimbabwe? Are you going to lower your flag to half staff for this too?

This has turned into a rather more intelligent debate then what was going on before, so instead of closing it, I'm just moving it.

Sleepy, if the overcrowding problem could be solved, as well as other envrionmental and economic problems, do you think everyone would be happier if there were no death at all?

Ok, Ill post now that all that ugliness is behind us. Just so you know, I always donate (And nothing like a penny just to take the piss or anything) which shows I am not an uncaring brute. I do my part. I once even helped an old lady across the road I'm a right hero.
