Can someone please tell me everything and anything they know about passwords? 'Cause I just don't get it.

They're not genuine passwords, but what the help file describes as "key codes". Basically, if you want an action to happen by the player pushing a button, then you'd use passwords. You push a particular button, and select a variable in which to put the "data" produced by the player in. These are the different values: Nothing is pushed: 0. Leave the checks out of the select boxes. The down direction key: 1. (One check in the box selects all four direction keys) The left direction key: 2. (One check in the box selects all four direction keys) The right direction key: 3. (One check in the box selects all four direction keys) The up direction key: 4. (One check in the box selects all four direction keys) Decision key: 5. (Place a check in the box to select this key) Cancellation key: 6. (Place a check in the box to select this key) So, for example, if you wanted your character to jump, you might make a new event on the map (set to Parallel Process), put an Enter Password tag on. Store that into a variable like "Character Jump" or something. Then put a Fork Condition in, with "If [Character Jump] = 1 (Down), THEN make a Move Event to animate the character jumping downwards. In The Else Case, do the same thing, but with If [Character Jump] = 2 (Left), and so on. Hope you actually got a word of that .
