Does it matter? You should just ask. The worst thing she can say is no, really.

Ask her out before some muscle-head jock does. And yeah, the worst thing is that she'll say no. Don't be all formal about it (THough it IS a Winter Formal, I'm assuming) just say something like, "Hey, we should go to that danc ething together. Ya know, just for kicks." I know tons of people who just go to the formal with friends, just for the sake of going to the formal

If only the dances at our school didn't suck.

School dances don't really start getting good until the later years of High School, and even then...

No, our school's dances are mediocre even in comparison to the other middle schools in our district.
The winter dance (which is this Friday, I think) starts at 3 PM and ends at 5. What kind of crap hours are those?

You probably should. She may be ugly (just a guess), but if she's nice, go for it. There was this girl in my class, who looked like Pamela Anderson. And she was cute. But she's a pregnant dog, so I hate her.

Indeed, go for personallity and not looks. It can help to not think about it when you ask.

Yeah, but it's not easy. Not many people go for personallity. At least not 12-18. No?

I think you'll probably consider both personality and looks. If there's someone who's really funny, nice, etc, but looks like some nocturnal reptile, I doubt you'd want to go out with them.

However it's silly to say you'd go out with someone really ugly if she's got a nice personality, Zeephos (still don't know what you want to be called). Part of a relationship is actually based of a physical attraction.

Dean, I was drinking and when I reached the Nocturnal Reptile part I... you know...
And Richie, I'll never go out with someone ugly. Beauty is what matters. You got that, Richie?
