spong.com/index.asp?art=5282There isn't much information but it shows that someone is actually making a game about it. So what does everyone think? Personally, I think good idea, poorly timed though. I mean, any other game based off real life events is created decades afterwards. However, it could be that had the PS2 or whatever existed in 1912 or 1918 or 1945 there would have been games based around them so shortly after the event. Wonder whether it will sell, would you be willing to buy?

It's not a game, it's an Unreal Tournament mod. It says so right up near the top.

Anywho, in Medal of Honor: Frontline, it starts out at D-Day. And in the new one that is coming out, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, they're going to have Pearl Harbor, you only get one guess as to what country you'll be fighting against in that game, the title and the event is the clue. Yeah, most games about war don't come out til years and years afterward, but that's mainly cause there were no video games back then. Now we have Desert Strike: Final Conflict (I think that's the name) Which is a game based on a war that only happened a decade ago.

Wouldn't that be Desert Storm? Or is it a different event than I'm thinking of?

Yup. Trying to escape. Sounds kind of pathetic to me, minus the jumping out the window bit.

Jumping out would be pretty cool, though it really wasn't in reality... but you could actually see what it was like for them though... kind of like an educational thing.
But speaking of 9/11, the best tribute song would have to be "The Innocent" by Good Charlotte, Mest, and Goldfinger. Go on KaZaA and download it. It's good.

It's an Unreal Tournament mod? Uhh... may I be excused if I ask what's a mod? Is it an add on...? Online game...? Edit: Oh, nevermind, I know now I've always refered to it as a 'patch'. Anyways, this game looks a bit sensitive, but it still seems quite... interesting. In the words of a friend of mine when I showed him the official website and that there is a film being made on 9/11, "A film will be sad and heart touching, a game will take the piss."

There's also a CS mod in developement that should be out within a year about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan . . . I mean come on, for one, they weren't "wars" persay, they were "UN Police Actions", or in other words, the US exploiting most of the UN's indecisiveness.
Beyond that, if you could even call em' wars, they were pathetic wars . . . The games will just be whatever someone wants to make up, with completely unrealistic data. Meh. Might as well take an existing mod and change the skins and make a few maps.

"War on Errorism", is what I call it. It wasn't even big. d**n that Bush, choking on his pretzels, and going on vacation so much.

Yeah a 911 game is a bad idea.
What are they going to do it from the perspective of the terrorists? Sounds like a Grand Theft Auto spin-off ;D
