That's right, Q4 2k4 MEO comes to shelves.
But until that far away date that I have been waiting for through so many years and development teams and production companies, I figured that I could try and start the beginnings of a guild.
It would, of course, find a way to borrow from things that I have written as well as Tolkien's works . . . So here goes: (I'm also gonna post this, slightly edited, @ the MEO forums.)
The Azure Blade isn't truly a country, or a nation- Really just an army. This group of devout believers in equality for those that allow equality find their homes in Ered Mithrin, or the Grey Mountains of the cold North. The group flourishes with Men of the North, whom were mostly in wandering tribes from the old realm of Arnor, Elves of Mirkwood, and dwarves of Erebor, The Lonely Mountain, and the few that had already made their homes in Ered Mithrin. Even a handful of the cold-drakes of the Northern Waste have found homes with the Azure Blade, in their dwelling known only as the Gathol Luin, or the Blue Fortress.
Naturally, being in the Grey Mountains, the Azure Blade is beyond imaginable wealth. They have traded much with the Dwarves of Erebor and have decorated their halls, weapons, furnishings, and even their defences with the most common jewel to be found in Gathol Luin, Sapphire. Great and powerful Elven and Dwarven smiths have worked together to create the most powerful weaponry of the Second Age for use by the Azure Blade. From swords to axes to shields and doors, the entire city shines a brilliant blue during the sunlight hours, even with the poor lighting from the location.
Two tributaries of The Great River branch off due South of Gathol Luin by about 40 miles. A road from there leads into the mountains and to the mighty gate which has been assaulted so very many times by Orcs. At that crossing of The Great River lies a trading post, which is visited frequently by the Dwarves. Occasionally, travelling Men stop by . . . A couple of Elves have been seen over the years, but none have wandered to that point unless asked to come by an inhabitant of Gathol Luin.
The Azure Blade numbers approximately 2,000 people, most of which are Dwarves and Men. The next largest populations are the Elves followed by the Cold-Drakes and lesser dragons, and even a small handful of Orcs have found their way into the city- Whom are closely watched as they trade jewels, trinkets, and armor from fallen soldiers from the Azure Blade with inhabitants.
The Azure Blade is famous among all inhabitants of the Northern lands for being the strongest force in the land, despite having a military force of just 600- A fame which has come from countless crushing blows to the Orcs of Ered Mithrin.
In this Third Age, the inhabitants of Gathol Luin and it's military force known as the Azure Blade have thrived off of combining the skills and knowledge of all peoples of the area. They try to keep themselves unknown, but with The Enemy beginning an assault upon all of Middle-Earth . . . It may yet have to fight beyond it's lands to the North.
(Any questions, suggestions, or insults, just feel free to post! ^-^ Didn't exactly put that much work into this, so there's bound to be some contradictions to Tolkien somewhere . . . Though I hope not!)
Edit - I did some more research . . . Yeah, the adjective goes AFTER the noun, making it Gathol Luin and not Luin Gathol.
