At the end of your event, choose Change Switch, choose the switch you wish to switch off and then choose Off. no thats wrong. hes talking about stoping an event. not turning a switch off. at the end of the coding, put a change switch. make it turn ON. then make a second page and make the start conditions of the switch you turned on on the first page. is that clear enough to understand?

Create a second page, leave that page blank triggered by a switch. At the end of the first page of the event (the one that's auto started) turn ON that switch.. the event will switch to the second page and will no longer re-start the first page.. untill the switch is turned 'off' of course.
