Hey, in LS3 I noticed that the world had a MAJOR makeover. Is it supposed to be the same world? I'm not sure...I mean, I know Nastra and Ridman are there so it's PROBABLY the same place, but why is it so different than the other world maps?

Ehh... different chipsets and stuff, plus it does make them look better than in the LS/LS2 games...

Oh yeah...wasn't it in Higansu, or something like that? Then the first two were in Meluvet and Veramonde and stuff...and yeah, Zheil, I agree. Looks a lot better.

well it's only few countries. there arecertainly lots of other other different looking countries. I think that it looks very barren, which is ok, but feels dry. The Water is strange too...

Well, I don't think that Kamau purposely made it so that the Higanasu territory was that much different than Meluvet and Krisdea. It simply a matter of using better, more detailed chipsets. You'll notice that in the beginning of the game, there's a little scene that shows Barbatta escaping a castle. Well, that is a flashback to the result of the battle between Nastra and Barbatta in Vermonde (For those who don't know). That proves it right there that the change in chipsets wasn't suppose to be considered a variation in the LS world. So I think that if he ever did a remake of LS2, the map's chipset would either be the same as LS3's chipset, or LSR's chipset.

I didn't like the water effects much in LS3, but I suppose they best suited the world map chipset.

I loved the water effect. ..Same here, I don't see why people don't like it.

Well it wasn't so much on the world map than in the towns. It just seemed like you were floating over something as opposed to just above something. It would've been better if Kam used water chips within towns, IMO.
