Hey, I know pixel artists are probably in high demand, but I'm gonna post here anyways. I'm looking for an artist who will, in short, assist me graphically for Rm2k3. Just for: weapon anis, battle stances and maybe some poses when there is a need for it. You will be properly credited. And I assure you I won't waste your time. I'm not gonna give up on this game a few months from now. Mostly because... there's a certain motivation... for me to finish this game.... well if you're interested AIM me my SN is FlyingHamsta Thanks for your time

You will probably find that you will not get any replies to your request. The reason for this is that no half decent artist joins certain team and helps making a project because they fear it will waste their time. Seems none of us know you (And I assume other forums dont either) we cannot judge you to be a person who would finish his game or a person who wouldn't. You didn't say anything about your project or give any screenshots about it which just makes your game a bit more of a "?" which nobody will be interested in. Also, pixel artists are in high demand, yes. But they do not help others out of the goodness of their hearts so their are plenty about if you make VERY SMALL requests. I suggest you practice making your own. I know it looks hard at the start, but believe me it is incredibly easy. Also you can just find public graphics for your needs and just edit them if your struggling. (Always start with editing gfx). Download a Paint Shop Pro version with a crack from Kazaa to make the gfx. Remember, to make a game you do not need custom gfx, but it certainly does improve it. There are plenty of graphics made by other people which you are allowed to use. I'm sure someone else will give you the links to these sites. The rm2k3 ones I know are on www.rm2k3.com but their is certainly more sites

The same night I posted this message I gave up and went into paint. I fooled around with it a bit and churned up some decent (although definitely not great) battle sprites for my charsets. Thank you for your tips (i'll download some of those programs or at least one of them) and explanation.
But hey, if I get good at this I'll probably help others out. But that's a pretty big IF. I'm artistically challenged.
Anyhoo, I do have one small request. If anyone could make a whip weapon for me (none of the ones I tried making are any good) that is fit for the size of a charset sprite (I don't use the standard rm2k3 battle sprite fatasses). That's help me out a lot. Otherwise, thanks for your time.

Whip weapons can easily be made as a single black line or whatever colour you like seems your fighting poses are small ones. Remember to add shading on it though. To make it look like a whip, have the man (or woman) swirl it above his head and then flick his arm down. This would make the other end of the whip fly over and hit the enemy.
Also, remember to add shading onto the graphics, look how others have done it. You might aswell give that a go if your doing the others, but I wouldn't bother trying it in "Paint" because that program is completely utterly useless.

I gave up and just changed the colour of the RTP whip lol. it looks better than i thought it would so its all cool. Remember I am not making sprites, just editing them; paint actually serves its purpose (altho I really should get CharaEx or wutever). I'm actually not that interested in becoming a spriter right now (mostly because I'm busy working on my rpg). Oh, and if you really want to see my work... InfraticateI am FlyingHamsta; I made Kraire Storm and The Fight Society.
