Some things need to be said, and then I'll let it drop. Seeing how as MPaul isnt't on AIM right now, I figure I'll just do my pregnant dogin right here. I'm not usually a vengeful or spiteful person, but I feel this topic must be made in order to clear some things up, and let this die. For the past couple days I debated posting this or not, but the more I thought about it, the angrier I got.
MPaul, I'm not sure why you put up that 'disclaimer' up at the top. I hope no one took that mockingly egotistical sentence seriously. (However, the real reason behind the original statement was probably fairly stupid. Must have taken some balls to even consider puting it up) This disclaimer goes too far: why not just take the whole mess down? It would solve the whole 'problem' faster, if you want to call it that.
Next, I want to say that closing that little topic was fairly immature (I realize that this is ironic. This thread itself is immature, but I refuse to be pushed around by a little prat with too much power), and not well planned at all. Surely you must have realized it would come back in bite you in your ass? Well it did. First off, and most importantly closing the topic does not speak highly of you. What it says to me is that you were scared of continuing a perfectly civil debate, because you didnt want to potentially be embarrased. Next, you obviously and childishly wanted to have the last word. You may as well have called me 'doodyface' and ran away. You got the same effect.
I will not listen to your absurd totalitarian rules and I will not be pushed out. If you decide to ban me, close this topic, delete this topic, or ignore this topic; you only make my case stronger. People will know the punishment they get for thinking for themselves. Of course, now that I pointed this out, you probably wont, and will accuse me of being paranoid, or something else to degrade me. That won't work.
What it comes down to is this: I do not like you. It is beyond me how you got appointed to a Moderator, much less Administrator. You say you don't like violent acts and so forth, yet you childishly (yet surprisingly subtely) decide to taunt me. I hope other people who are tired of your shoddy upkeep of this place speak up.

Point taken, dully noted. I will not close this thread as to not seem unfair - though if PaulC or Jakey feels the need to, they most certainly may, but it would seem to me that if you have a personal complaint you would come to me - e-mail address can be found in my profile, or even in my signature now - rather then exploit me, but that's okay too.
However, I will point this out. Wether or not you like me and wether or not you choose to listen to my rules will not make your stay any different then anyone elses - You will get warned, like everyone else, and if you do so much that I have to, you will be banned like everyone else. But I applaude you for speaking your mind and keeping your tongue, though your sarcasm falls flat. But nicely done.
As I said: Point taken, dully noted.

To educate people, or at least share my opinion. Is that illegal?

Unlike most people with a problem, I don't feel sinking to the lowest common denomenator helps at all. I much rather intelligently complain about something than be beligerent. I don't feel the need to e-mail you. I can share my problems here and not be embarrased.
Not once did I ask to be "above the law", although I did say alot of the "don't be mean" rules are dumb. Who really cares If I'm, or someone else is, nice to people? Is this rule here to protect yourself or everyone else? Does it really hurt people if its contained in one thread? If it isnt in one thread, is it really that bad? You're not pressed for space here. If one doesn't have thick enough skin, maybe they shouldn't be here. People are opinionated.

Nevertheless, they stay. And they won't be removed. There is no plausible reason for anyone to be mean to anyone else. None at all.
And I always felt anyone who felt the need to complain to me publically was just exploting me - I feel just like Bill Clinton.

It's called critisizm, not exploitation. Get used to it. Anyone in your situation gets it.
There are alot of reasons for people to be mean, some of them that are even good reasons. I've been saying this forever: with debate comes greater understanding. Sitting down and talking them out is fine, but usually a problem goes past that point.
Imagine if during your life all you experienced were wonderfully good things. Day in day out the sun was shining and you were always happy. It would get pretty boring, fast. Its a nice wish for you to have even, but unrealistic. I dunno if I'm the first person to cause a 'problem' like this, but I can garuntee you I won't be the last.

And I can guarantee you that as long as I remain head administrator, with PaulC and Jakey at my side, I won't care. You can complain all you want, but I won't change anything I do.. Even if EVERYONE complains, unless I am removed from power, I won't change it. Opinionated? Yes. Stubborn? Yes.
And also, as long as I have variety in my life, I would love it to be always good and happy. It wouldn't get boring with variety. And, you know, theres many other places you could go - please - that would allow you to flame or be mean or even just to be free speaking to your heart's content. I could recommend you some, if you'd like.
That said, I'm going to bed. I'm not going to ruin the rest of my great weekend with this. I make it so people have to be nice - wow, what an ass I am.

MAKE being the key word. Also funny how you use variety, and then always after that. Notice how that would NOT be variety? Yes? Awesome.
Everytime you say something remotely redeeming, another, more horrible comment spews out. I seriosuly think you simply have no clue what you're saying when you type. Or your dislussional. Take your pick.
I'm sure you'd love to get rid of me, but I'm not going. Despite what you may think, I actually do like alot of people in this community, and would suffer to put up with you to talk to them. In addition, I'll have you know, I don't particularly want to "flame" or be mean to anyone. I don't go around just doing it at random. I'm actually pretty nice normally.

I'm afraid I am siding with the Head-Honcho in this argument. Why bother insulting people or hurting their feelings? Mpaul has only made these rules to make RPG Town a nicer atmosphere around the town, he is not doing it to make himself look big. If people like you, Gimdin, keep annoying him about his rules then the nice RPG Town atmosphere will disappear and people like me will leave. Please, stop will all the arguing, there is no point to it.

Well... some of you may know I had problems with this before. I left many, many times and returned. But I've changed... look, there are people who would take that message seriously, and be offended. These are weak people, who can't understand jokes. When I first came to the Proboards RPGT, and saw these messages, I did that face like (WTF?) but then I said "Ah, hehe. These are jokes. They're funny when you look at them like that." but only stupid people get offended by that. Gimdin, it doesn't matter if you look the Administrators/Moderators or not. If you don't like PaulM, you can just ignore him. Not his rules. What matters is if you enjoy this place, these members. Don't leave because of 1 person. Yeah, an administrator but that's just not it. If you don't like PaulM, don't reply to his posts, so you won't start arguing. That's what I planned I'd do, a week ago when I came here. But I saw I changed, and that I don't get offended by this.
