I think I know your problem. After you import the file into your game, go to Database. One of the section's will have the header 'Chipsets'. Then you have to go to an empty slot (if there is no empty slots, use Max Field Number on the bottom) and then near the top there will be a slot to select the file. Then after that, you will see the file appear in the preciously black box. Then you're done, but eventually you'll have to do all the passing blocks and stuff like that.

Thanks! But how do I get rid of that pink gunk that plagues my chipset?

The pink won't appear in the maps,so don't worry about it.It's a transparant color.

No, I mean when you get a character and there is pink/green gunk around him. How do I fix that?

I think this is it: Get Idraw3 (you can get it from most Rm2k Sites, like RPG Palace) and open your character file. Then go to View, View Palette and View Toolbox (I think) Now, if the backround color of the Character File is not the same as the color in the top-left box of the Palette, that's the problem. Just use the color on the top-left as the backround and it should look normal.

Hmmm...let me make sure we're talking about the same thing You mean the black space around the character, right? Or am I just misunderstanding?

The color in the top-left is invisible, if you want you can change the color with the red, green, and blue bar.(It will still be invisible) Just color the area around the characters with that color.

Check "Tool Box" under "View" and on the tool box, check the box one from the bottom on the right(the one that says "fill") This tool fill areas that are the same color and are attached to whatever color you have selected.

Are you sure you used fills? It's suppose to color an entire area,or maybe there are a lot of different colors around the character(Example:the transparant color is green, there are 3 other green that look like it around the character).
