Last night I went to see The Musical Box. The Musical Box were a Genesis tribute band (from Canada, I think), the only tribute band to have a license from Peter Gabriel (vocalist in the early 70s) to do what they're doing. They performed a concert as the band would have done in 1974; an exact replica of a set list, costumes, and even stage directions ^_^. Although they played in a poxy little theatre near to where I live last night, they played The Royal Albert Hall in London 0_0. I found it to be a most unique experience, and it was extremely entertaining. Chances are you'll never have heard of The Musical Box, but have you heard of Genesis? I know Nuno has (=D), but I don't know about anyone else. Their music is certainly for an aquired taste, and would receive next to no attention on today's music market (as demonstrated by some more recent prog rock affairs: great stuff, not so great attention given to them), but I'd say it'd be highly rewarding. What other band would sing part of a 23 minute song live dressed as a flower? [Supper's Ready, Pt. 5: Willow Farm] EDIT: www.themusicalbox.net/main/selling_gallery.html The kind of stuff I was watching. Mp3s are less easy to find, so I'd need to upload a few.

I love Genesis. Even the Early Phil Collins vocals years. You seem to be a fellow Prog. man, eh?
