I'm just wonderin, can you pick up and play any Legion Saga, or is it a good idea to play the prequels first?

I suppose its okay to play the later games first since they're not the same heroes, but you won't understand the returning characters like Shotan, Ridman, and Barbatta if you play LS3 before LS1 or LS2.
So I think you should play LS1 first at least until you get tired of it and then start the other games.

Yeah the storylines are semi-continuous. They are mainly self-contained within each episode but you might understand the bigger picture and things like stuff like geography better if you play all of them.

I've noticed it's very Suikoden influenced. But thats good, I like that game,

I assume the chipsets/graphics improve along the series, and I like the Suikoden music, nice touch.

Yes, you can click modify and add the text to the original post.
And yes, Legion Saga was influenced by Suikoden.

Indeed. But what lots of people I talk to seem to like about it is not the fact that it was influenced by Suikoden, but by how it became it's own game and eventually it's own series.

No, I agree, but my point is, if it Suikoden based, will it boast some of those lovely, lovely, big battles between armies I love so much, I'm gonna find out how to do that, especially the little cut-scene that goes with it.

Legion Saga, my very first RM2k game I played!. Thats why I check the main site daily. I'm in shock now that so many LS games are going to come out very soon.

I played Legion Saga 3 first, and it did not lessen the story or anything in the other ones (although there were a few situations where I was able to guess the outcome... Just that I picked up on a certain writing style...). LS3 is my favourite though, because I played it first, and I recommend getting to it one way or another.
