RpgmT's review of the Rpg Maker 2000 game 'Jump!'
A game made by Sei and Umbalgo.
I'll review this game on Storyline, Graphics, Music and Gameplay. Each section gets 25 points.
Jump!, which full name is 'Dancing Stage Tsukul' is a remake of games like Dance Dance Revolution, or Parappa The Rapper. It is awesomely made for rm2k, and is fun to play. On to the review!
Storyline- 0/0
This is an arcade game, meaning that there is absolutely no storyline in this game.
Choosing which stage (music) you want to play
Graphics- 22/25
The graphics in this game (as you can see on the screens) are very well and seem to be custom. If they aren't the creator at least spend a lot of time searching for them. I give this section 22 points, since it can't really get much better.
A instage screen, quite impressive
Gameplay 19/25
The game's gameplay is as well impressive, but it could be better.. The reaction on your key input sometimes doesn't respond well, which makes it so that the input is failed. This makes you require quite some practice so that you can time everything right. Still gets 19 points, because after a few rounds of practice you'll get much better at it.
Music 25/25
What!? A full score for music! That's right, this game's
music is awesome, since that's what the whole game turns around. Each level (12 of them) has it's own cool theme which comes complete with text (it are wav's), and are composed by proffesional Dj's. 25 points and a thumbs up!
After the stage.. Aww.. I failed
Total Graphics- 22
Gameplay- 19
Music- 25
Concludes to 22+19+25= 66/75! Which makes 88/100.
88 %
Conclusion
It's a fine game, it takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete and it also holds a high replay value! Good graphics, good gameplay,
awesome music. What else do you want? More stages, more music a storyline in between it.. okay. Maybe in Jump!2 if it will ever be created?
