if you feel like getting a rest from violent anime, feel like getting a couple of laughs or if you just feel like staring at anime girls, why not give this a try?
Azumanga Daioh is a relatively new anime series based on a small comic strip by Azuma Kiyohiko. A friend of mine recommended this show to me, so I got a copy. I watched it and laughed I disagree out. This is definitely the funniest anime I've ever watched.
What makes Azumanga Daioh unique is that it doesn't really have a plot. The series is basically about a group of girls and their daily high school experiences. Most of the events that occur are pretty random which means you don't have to watch em in order. You could just watch ep5 without watching ep6 since the plot isn't connected to one another.
How can an anime with no plot be interesting you say? meh. Azumanaga Daioh is mostly about the characters. Each have their own personality, strengths, and quirks.
In addition, AD is really funny. I'd fall off my chair and start rolling on the floor laughing too if they wouldn't throw me in a white padded room. There were some jokes though that I couldn't understand, probably since it was about japanese culture. ah well, one bad apple won't spoil the whole bunch, right?
So......
If you're a person who likes laughing a lot and does not care about plot so much, you should give this a try. If you can't stand watching anime with no plot whatsoever, watch it anyway, it's still pretty d**n good.

- Tomo, in a race with Sakaki
My Scores:
Animation: 8/10- The show's relatively new, so the animation was pretty good.
Sounds/Music: 9/10- Again, it was pretty good. The music always fit the scene's mood.
Story- Story? What story?!? Weren't you reading the review?!?
