I'm not sure if this is better suited for the General topics or Reviews, but I'm making a deal. You suggest a story, fanfic, or poem that YOU or a friend wrote, and I will review it.
I will not review games, movies, or published books on request, as you folks are doing a good enough job reviewing them yourselves.
I will have a regular book review column, though.
I'm looking for aspiring writers. Post a link to your story, leave email, ICQ number, or AIM screen name, and I will read it.
If it is a fanfic on something I am unfamilar with, I will do a bit of research on the topic. Post a reply to this thread if you have a story, poem, or fanfic you'd like reviewed, as well as the info requested above.

I would see if you could review my book I'm writing, but it's nowhere near being done.

I just read the story. Here's my comments-
-From the description in the intro, I originally thought the story would be a romance of some sort. Good job, Blake. You proved me wrong, though.
-The introduction seemed fairly stereotypical, but this was offset by the rather unique twist at the end.
-Having an ironic outcome surprised even me. One of my favorite scenes was the boy offering to paint the protagonist.
-However, the protagonist giving the bread to the street urchin made me think the story would turn out differently.
-Overall, a decent read, but seemed like more of a 'fable,' though.
