I started Life about 14 years ago now, more than long enough to write a decent review.
Life starts off rather suddenly, but with great promise and potential. Begining when you are but a little baby. Through the course of Life you grow, and maybe even learn if your intelligence stats are high enough.
Life is a stat based game, and sometimes when your stats are rolled at the beginning, they come out horrendously low, and you can even wind up with several disabilities, but hey, that's life.
When you begin Life, you are treated to many memorable minigames, such as "Capture the Flag", "Hide and Go seek" or "Tag". Through these, you experience a feeling called "Fun". The higher your fun level, the happier you are.
As you play further into the game, the games that provide this fun are replaced with more monotonous games called "Work". Through work you experience "boredom" and gain "money", the less boredom you have, the happier you are, but the less you work, the less money you get paid. Money is needed for essential things such as "Food" and a "home". Even more things are introduced as you play, such as "love", "anger", "confusion" and "insanity".
As you get further into Life it starts to break down. The first signs of this could be anything from fuzzy vision to constipation. NPCs called "Doctors" may be able to help these things for a while, but soon these signs can advance into more powerful forms, such as "Liver Failure" or "Cancer". Eventually Life's system will cave in on itself, resulting in a massive system failure. Game Over.
I didn't really enjoy this game, and I thought there were quite a few things that needed fixing.
+ Short
+ No Elves
- Quite Unfair
- Lots of Bugs
- The Graphics Suck
- *Hops around GTA style* The tank cheat doesn't work
All in all, I give Life a D-
