Sure, anyone cna write a review of a game, or a song. However, I'm going to be reviewing everyday random things. Why? To take up space, of course! Anyhow, onto the review!
Name: Tilt Family Entertainment Center
Location: The Mall in my town
Atmosphere: It's a fairly large room, with a good amoutn of machines. The aesthetics are good, as well, making sure that the latest Dance Dance Revolution Machine is in plain view of passerby, in an attempt to hook in mainstream players. The place used to have a bare cement floor, giving it a "ghetto warehouse" feel, but they have recently installed carpet, which I believe was a yellowish color. I don't know, I hardly pay attention to floors.
Machines: As per msot facilities, Tilt offers machines that you win tickets from, and then exchange for prizes at a stnd. Most of these machien are located in the center, or the very back. I tend to ignore them. On the left wall lies all the racing games, I tend to ignore these as well. Which leaves us with the right wall. Here is where they put everything else, understandly, most of the games are fighters. They have most of the latest games, including Capcom vs SNK 2, Tekken 4, and even Soul Calibur 2, which I almost missed, and then exlcaimed "Holy nuts!" upon seeing it. They also sport soem light gun games such as Silent Scope, CarnEvil, and the ever-popular Time Crisis 2. I was, however, dissapointed at the absence of some older games, namely X-Men Vs Street Fighter. They did have the original Marvel VS Capcom machine (and mvc2, but thats in the corner and it's always broken) but the inclusion of the first SOul Calibur was a pleasant surprise. Alas, Tilt's greatest fault is the absence of any and all SNK hardware. In the entire facility, there isn't a single NeoGeo machine, which may turn off many Neo fans.
Overall, this is a fairly mainstream arcade, but the games are good and at fair prices (except MvC1 being 50 cents! Come on! The game is like, 5 years old!)
I give Tilt a solid 8/10
