You mean Akira and Ghost in the Shell. Everyone loves Ghost in the Shell and I DONT KNOW WHY. I mean, the manga rocks, but the anime was pathetic in comparison. Akira was pretty cool too, and I actually don't consider it THAT overrated. Has some really good dubbing though.

Ghost in the Shell was awesome, in my opinion. It was kind of dumb in a few places, so alot of people don't really like it, so I wouldn't consider it overrated.
Without Ghost in the Shell, there wouldn't be a Matrix.

Anyway, I think Akira and Princess Monoke are way too overrated. They're okay but not "the best anime movies ever." I am going to kill you. *spontaneously combusts again*

I don't really know which ones are overated. I like almost all anime's that I lay eyes on. I don't think the likes of DBZ get ENOUGH credit outside of fan circles. Currently, I've been watching a lot of DBZ. Jjust a couple of days ago, I got hold of DBZ Movie 8 DVD (Broly-Legendary Super Saiyan) and the first 2 DBGT DVD's. They're both excellent!

Almost nobody likes DBZ cause it's always the same repeating over and over again, and that it really suck to see the good guys fighting someone for 50 episodes each time, plus all the crap episodes that doesn't even go with the main story and also that the dragonball name almost have nothing to do with the anime anymore, they got how many episodes already?About 400?They should have stopped after Frieza's saga seriously, and maybe then it wouldn't be so bad,but it's too late to change it now,the mistake has been done already and made DBZ awful and repetitive.

I am going to kill you. *spontaneously combusts again* And they tell me to be more open-minded. Are you really that obsessed with those? Anyway, yeah, the predictability and repetitiveness of DBZ really hurt it. The action is the only redeeming quality but it can't replace story and characterization.

Without Ghost in the Shell, there wouldn't be a Matrix. nope ur wrong, the creators of the matrix said that if it was not for Akira they prolly wouldnt have thought of the Matrix cuz the Matrix was their attempt at making an anime with real people an over-rated anime was have to be Spirited Away!1it was alright i guess but not as good as everyone said

Not only is your opinion infuriating but you should have let this topic die. It's dead. Don't revive it. LOCKED.
