1. Naruto 2. Berserk 3. RahXephon
It was an extremely tough decision between Berserk and Naruto, but... yeah. ^_^;

I love Naruto . Here are my top 3 favorites: 1. Naruto 2. Vampire Hunter D 3. Either One Piece or Trigun. Can't decide. I've never seen Berserk. What's it like?

It's one of the best animes ever and it's most of the townies' favorite anime.

No offense but Berserk is overrated, and Naruto sucks big time.

How could you think Naruto "sucks big time"? What's so bad about it that makes it "suck big time"?

Try the so painfully cliche storyline, the no character development, or the cheesy humor.

How can you seriously say that there is no character development? That sound like a sort of "Don't Judge a Book by it's Cover" sort of thing a person could say 'cause you probably just watched the first episode and said it was lame. You most likely did the same with the "painfully cliche storyline". Something painfully cliche would be...oh...Kenshin. A killer-turned-non-killer who fights people versus a group of struggling ninja's who actually have a reason for getting stronger. Hmm...I wonder which one is more cliche...

Dreamer, you arse. I bet you only watched the first episode. Like Barry said, I cannot believe you said there is no character developement. Oh, right... you don't know the characters yet, you only meet Naruto at the first episode. You don't know how emotional, intense, funny, surprising this anime is. And what's really cliche about the storyline? Where have I heard about a kid being born by a red monster with nine tails and wanting people to acknowledge him by him being the Hokage of the Leaf Village... erm... nowhere. That's right. So stop the bullnuts, you know nothing.
I'm not even going to talk about Berserk. Yu Yu Hakusho I disagree.

1. X (series, mind you ) 2. Evangelion 3. Escaflowne I really, really need to start an anime watching mood again. I've never watch Naruto so I can't say anything about that, watched the first 4 or 5 episodes of Berserk (it was alright, nothing to inspire me to download more yet though), and the first 6 or 7 episodes of RahXephon (which is good). Tell you the truth I haven't finished X either, but for some reason I really, really like that show

Anyone that knows me can tell my first choice . . .
Anyone that's had a convo about anime can tell my second choice (hint it used to be my fav anime)
Anyone whom I've told about my friend whom I am insanely jealous of because she got the gift set of this anime would know that it's my 3rd fav . . .
Or just in case ya don't know nuts about me, it's Berserk, Gundam Wing, then Cowboy Bebop . . . WITHOUT murdering it, thank you very much Adult Swim.
A lot of people argue with me about Gundam Wing . . . It was my first anime d**nit! And it still kicks ass! the storyline moves a bit slow but otherwise it was great in practically every aspect . . . Erm, except for being a repeat of every other single anime in the Gundam series.
BTW: Me wantzz 2 c Naruto.
BTW #2: When ya watch anime that isn't on Cartoon Network, then talk about them. If you actually HAVE seen the entire series of Berserk AND Naruto (guessing from what I've heard everywhere I see anything about it, it's great . . . And people are rating it above Berserk, albeit being fishy it makes it tempting to watch it) then you would be the first person I have EVER met to see animes that weren't watched on Cartoon Network and prefer the ones there, nuff' said.

I have never seen a single episode of the anime, but I have read over 2 volumes of the manga. I saw nothing that got me emotional, and I saw nothing that resembled good characterization.
And for the story, who the hell actually pays attention to that detail? As far as I know, Naruto is about a kid who wants to be acknowledged as a good ninja. I see that everywhere!
Look at Yu Yu Hakusho's story. You might see a few others where the main character dies in the opening scene, but no where else does he also become a spirit detective, and take on demons through cases, tournaments, etc.

You know Dreamer, animes are often very different from their manga. You have absolutely no right to say what you said about Naruto unless you've watched the anime. Did you ever watch Berserk?
