..What are you talking about? There's tons of fightin in DBZ!
...After about 8 minutes of talking and taunting...
I liked DBZ, mainly because at first, it was the only anime I could see. That's why so many people liked it. In the beginning, when Moltar ran Toonami (WAY back when I was little) you had, Sailor Moon, Thundercats, Robotech (I LOVED Robotech, I don't know why they took it off the air..) and another show I forgot. I despised Thundercats after Robotech was shown (Both Robotech and Sailor Moon own Thundercats) but since it was perhaps the first anime I ever saw, and the only one available for awhile, I loved it. The same way with Sailor Moon (although my admiration for it diminished greatly when grew up a little, and especially when I realized how predictable it really was...like in the later episodes..).
But that's what I'm getting at, it wasn't until I saw Trigun, Ruroni Kenshin, an dsome of the better anime's out there that I realized how obsolete DBZ really was compared to them...but until that time, I liked DBZ alot, because my ignorance of anime made it perhaps the only really good anime on television...after whatever thought it was best to take Robotech off the air..
Oh, and DBZ just got really stupid near the end o fthe Freiza saga. I mean, seriously, how the heck are they going to drag 5 minutes, into 3 or 4 30 minute episodes?
Anyway, I liked Dragonball abit better than DBZ...ah, Dragonball, the time when bad humor spread like a virus..before they started to make Goku train every 20 episodes just to kill some time, back before they tried to make him some superbeing..

*Sigh* So many cheap replacements, though, you must admit, Beasties was pretty good.

When did DBZ get stupid? Well In my opinion its gotten in stupid alot of times,I mean come on,I can't beleive as a child I use to watch a show with 2 people staring eachother out,Waiting for a fight... Useless.... FACT: Dragonball Z was supposed to end at the Freiza saga,But Toie Animation forced Akira Toriyama to create the Android Saga,Cell Saga, and Majin Buu Saga manga... Also another answer to this question of when did DBZ get stupid is simply "When it came to America"

YuYu Hakusho, Trigun, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Cowboy Bebop own DBZ, in my opinion.
Anyways, I heard that Funimation is currently dubbing Ghost in the Shell so they can show it on Toonami! ;D

Ugh. They wouldn't show ghost in the Shell on toonami. That's just about the stupidest thing I ever heard. They would have to cut out so much material that it wouldn't even be worth watching. There's quite a bit of nudity, tons of blood, and people getting their heads and other body parts blown off constantly. The movie was rated R to begin with, and not to be stereotypical, but the majority of people who watch toonami are kids. That movie is confusing as hell. They won't understand it.

Silly Magi! There weren't any exploding heads in the actual movie! You got it confused. The head you saw explode was mine after I watched the movie and tried to comprehend the plot!

Yeah, I know. I watched it six times in a row, and got nothing out of it. Not to mention that the voiceovers were so soft I could barely hear them on maximum volume.
Anyways, it was just a rumor, but I guess that it is pretty farfetched, but you never know. They showed R rated series like Outlaw Star on Toonami before.
But if they do show it, it would be a 10 or 15 minute special.

Yeah. hehe. That'd work! ;D
And Outlaw Star was probably more like Teen. I don't really think tasteful frontal nudity counts as R at least in cartoons. I would go into it more, but that's getting wayyy too off topic.

Yep, lol. Anyways, that was Sci-fi Anime Colony rated the series.
I wish they would dub newer series instead of the old cyborg ones like Kikaider and Cyborg #something.
