For those of you who don't know, Bittorrent is a file-clustering program. You download a small tracker file and the program creates a file which is then filled in bit by bit in random order. You are forced to upload to other people downloading your episode at the same time as you download, taking stress off the main server and ensuring better d/l rates. You can get the client at ei.kefro.st/projects/btclient/
I'm not sure how many of you are aware of the excellent Bittorrent site www.animesuki.com so I decided to let people know about it. The site has links to .torrent files for tons of unlicensed anime series, including most of those currently airing in Japan. If you're interested in anime and getting the new fansub releases as they come out, I'd reccomend giving it a shot, as downloads are far easier and more reliable than on file-sharing programs like Kazaa. Series I've seen a bit of and would reccomend:
Gunparade March (A quite well-done mecha show)
Hikaru no Go (An anime about Go - strange idea, but a really fantastic show if you try it)
Ebichu (A very hilarious, very adult show about a foul-mouthed little 'Housekeeping Hamster')
Shaman King (A long, very popular show about 'Shamans', people who can talk with and be inhabited by the spirits of the dead)
Gad Guard (Well-animated show about a kid who becomes the pilot of a strange 'Iron Giant')
Getbackers (Strangely enjoyable fighting show about a two-man 'item reposession' team)
Naruto (A funny and exciting, but slow-moving, ninja show)
E's Otherwise (Cliched idea - ESPers manipulated into serving a powerful and mysterious organization - but fun)
Gundam Seed (Hey, Gundam's always good, especially when it looks this nifty - Great character interaction, great music, and great animation)
Wolf's Rain (Very original show about wolves who can assume the appearence of humans seeking "Paradise")
Last Exile (Brilliant Computer Graphics, enjoyable plot and original setting)
Scrapped Princess (Fun, non-cliched Fantasy)
.hack//Legend of Twilight's Bracelet (The polar opposite of //SIGN, much lighter and fast-paced - concludes the story of the strange occurences in the MMORPG "The World")
Saikano/Saishu-Heiki Kanojo (Terrible character designs, but a very moving and dark plot - about a girl who is a living mechanical weapon and her relationship with a classmate)
If there's a series listed on the site you don't know about, try looking it up on www.animenfo.com for a description. Give it a try.
