Now, people make all sorts of animes based on video games, right? Street Fighter, Tekken, Power Stone, Z.O.E., etc. Then why not create one based on the greatest puzzle game of all time? Yes, a Tetris Anime would take off famously.
Storywise, it's solid. Tetris: The Journey Begins will follow a determined young man leaves home to become the Utimate Tertis Master(TM) by TertisBattling(TM) other TertisFighters(TM) in their gigantic, Tetris(TM)-themed robots called TetrisMechs(TM). Also, a lot of the dialouge will end in characters shoutning a long, deep "HOOOO!".
Example: "I will become the Ultimate Tetris Master and there is nothing you can do to stop me, HOOOO!"
"Oh, but there is! And that is to best you in a TetrisBattle! TetrisMech, HOOOO!"
"HOOOO!"
You get the idea.
Now, of course, with a concept this original and with so many Trademarked phrases, it's the perfect time to cash in with merchandise of all kinds. Tetris wall scrolls, T-Shirts, action figures, model kits, cels, snack foods, bread, chili con carne. Why, if you come to school without oen or more pieces of liscensed Tetris merchandise hanging off your body, there's a strong chance that your classmate's boots will find a warm, loving place in your non-Tetris purchasing ass.
Of course, younger audiences mgith not watch this show, as the suggested timeslot is late ngiht, due to the amount of graphic violence, gore, sexuality, and profanity an anime based on a puzzle game will no doubt have.
I'm thinking off proposing my idea to some big name company like Sunrise or Gainax. They'd be fools not to sign on!
