well.....i really also feel that space is spherical and that it never ends...the more you try to leave to sphere the more you just keep going in circles...around and around untill you reach the exact same place that you started from....it just wont end no matter how hard you try....ever............. ;D

It's unknown about space. Someones thinks that space will end, but I think space do continue. There must be more planets, but mankind haven't noticed them.

I think space is a giant shere and many other galaxies are in side along with us and I believe outside the sphere is nothing... just whiteness like in those mac comercials

Well, personally I have a strange idea on the size of space, which some people may disagree with. It's also sort of confusing, so I'll explain it as best I can. Well, I think that space is sort of like a sphere, only sort of different... you see, if you went as far North as you could, you'd go in a big circle to the South and end up back where you started. Same as East and West. Now, you may be thinking 'if space is a sphere, and if you go North you'll eventually end up in the South, what will happen if you go directly upwards, like taking off in a space shuttle'? Well, my answer to that is the same: If you go upwards, you'll keep going in that direction untill you end up back where you started. The best example is a video game - one of the games where if you go off the map to the North, you'll appear back at the South. It may sound like I think space is a sphere, but like I said earlier, you can't leave this sphere - try flying out it, and you'll end up going in a big loop back to whereyou started. Belmat:That's a very good theory. It's what I believe in, at least. Let me add a bit to that...that spherical shell is one of many, and all of those spherical universes are inside an even bigger universe, which is one of billions, and they're all inside yet another universe. This pattern carries on for an infinite number of times. Yes thats what i believe. Both are very good theries.

I have the name of that video game - think 'Asteroids'. It's the perfect example of what I was talking about.

I think space is a giant shere and many other galaxies are in side along with us and I believe outside the sphere is nothing... just whiteness like in those mac comercials Hm.. well its proven that there are other galexies inside along with us, but what about the end of space??? The thread is about wether or not our universe has an 'outer edge'. I believe that there is not enough scientific backing for me to comment on this, although if the big bang theory is correct then it only makes sence that there is something outside our universe.. perhaps an area where the normal laws of phisics that apply in our universe don't apply. (After all, even the big bang itself breaks what we know of physics...) However I say that only on the assumption that the big bang is correct, if it is not correct then I have no idea.

Do you understand how big all.. BEING is? Or is it small? We think we know alot, but we actually know nothing. What if there is life on other planets? What if there are some kinds of "planets" outside space, that don't know anything aswell? What if, what if, what if. IF. If is the only think we can say, until technology evolves. But like someone said here, space is mighty huge. Bigger than anything you can ever imagine, I think it would take millions of millions of years to get to the end of space - if there is an end. If.
