Assume, where do dead people go? what do YOU think? do you think those who don't believe in God or jesus go to hell and those who do go to heaven? or else. This subject is as mysterious as God's existence.
Please reply.

I'm sceptical about Heaven and Hell existing. But honestly, I would like Heaven to exist. As all humans are sinners we might all go to hell, in THAT case I'd rather that it didn't exist.

I have this theory... I think, that when people die a new baby is born and it's them. They forget their previous life and start a new life. I think that all of us are not completely us, that we have qualities of other people. I wish there is no Heaven and Hell.

The problem with that theory is that there are more people now than there was a few years ago. If a new baby is born when someone dies, why are there so many more people now than there where a century ago?

^_^ at Paters. That is called the rationalist's view . This subject is as mysterious as God's existence, because there are so many different opinions, whether religious or non-religious, none of which can be proved. Personally, I take the view that once we're dead, we're dead: we don't end up in Heaven or anything. However, I think it possible that we could be reincarnated, either as a human being, or another creature of some sort, with no recollection of previous lives, which I think is one of the basis' of either Buddhism or Sikhism. However, unlike whichever of those religions, I don't believe that there is a "prize" at the end, as it were: we just keep going on. Who knows, I could be answering the same question with a completely different answer a couple of hundred years from now. Possibly in chicken talk ;D.

I don't like the Heaven/Hell thing. Every person is bad and good in his own way.

Actually, current work in nueroscience supports materialism, that the what we consider the mind is the brain. If what we consider the mind is the brain, and the brain dies with the body, then any notion of life after death is rubbish. The problem of dualism is that if the brain ISN'T the organ responsible for producing our personality, memories, and thoughts, then why is it that damage to the brain from accidents, oxygen deprivation, and drugs alter such? This is entirely what we'd expect if materialism is true. In addition, why posit a dualistic element when there's no evidence for such, when materialism explains things, and is supported by evidence?
I find it's often that people are dualists because of their religion. Because most theists can't think outside their religion, they're usually unable to think outside of dualism either.
And god's existence isn't mysterious. Such a topic about as puzzling and mysterious as one considers the existence of blarks.

I appealed to materialism on the matter, CrashCoarse, by appealing to science on the matter, and that there is no good evidence for dualism. As materialism does have scientific support, it appears that materialism is likely to be true, in which case there is no life after death.
I believe, simply, in life before death. Wishy-washy beliefs of life after death is simply the inability of a person to accept their own mortality.
