Yes, he told me that. Not sure what you are on about, but I don't appreciate silly lies. It does not make you look like a big man. The only reason I'm not at the town talking much is because it is full of crap and there is few things worth reading. The main reason I am still looking at stuff is because someone needs to enforce the rules.

For example, posts like that. Making a quote and an emoticon is not a worthwhile post, Jacket! I'm willing to be friendly, but you've got to do a PROPER job with the rules.

For example, posts like that. Making a quote and an emoticon is not a worthwhile post, Jacket! I find it humorous, hilarious even that you think that a post with a single smiley is so detrimental to the Town. What exactly is it that's so bad about a single smiley post? I'm obviously not doing it to boost my post count as we will be moving to another forum soon. So why is it so bad? The thing I find even more hilarious is the fact that you attempt to portray yourself as the only person here with power who is enforcing the rules. This hilarity is furthered by the fact that you think people are just running ballistic and we need to take moderation up a notch. We have had one major case of someone breaking the rules since we got back here which was/is in the debate forum and Magi has locked about 4 or 5 of those threads. And it was made apparent in another thread that you were pretty much standing by yourself in the room of people who thought the Town was too spammy. That thread was deleted, I'm guessing by you because I had already talked with the rest of the active moderators to make them aware of why the thread was there and that if anything went wrong, then I would handle it. They agreed, but a couple of days after the thread had died, it was deleted. Not locked, but deleted. So while on the topic of doing the job properly, what reason could you possibly have to delete a thread that contained no flaming or spamming, which had already sunk down the page and was probably never going to be posted in again? Back on the topic of you sticking around just to handle this invisible enslaught of spam on the Town: Psygon and Thores are still here. They do not post alot, but it's not as though they're just not doing their jobs. Then Magi and myself are also always around. And so if your fear that the Town is going to topple at the hands of spam is the only thing keeping you around, then the rest of us here have it covered and you may take a leave if you like.

You have done nothing to suggest you are getting rid of the spam on this forum, Jacket. The emoticon post shows you contributing to it, not dealing with it.
I deleted and attacking thread, since they are against the rules. You only wanted to keep it open for a little provocation.
So you say, but I've not seen any progress to this new forum yet. I am not concerned with your reasoning for spam (I assume you had nothing good to say), but the fact that you did it just to make a post.

Oh god not again... Will you two ever stop? Admittably it's impossible for a forum to stay serious all the time, especially the town. This is only bugging you because there hasn't been much activity besides that lately. If things are managed correctly, we'll eventually be back on the right track. Paul M and I still discuss development of the Palace regularly and are actually working on it actively. There hasn't been enough content worthy of upload and we're mainly working on writeups.

As far as I can tell, all the active moderators are doing a pretty good job, making sure things don't get out of hand, sorting members out who need to be sorted out (that Cell bloke), and letting people have a little fun in the meantime.
Quite frankly, it irritates even me to see a bulk of posts in this thread stating that the Town is "full of crap" (I don't believe it to be, personally), and that "making a quote and emoticon is not a worthwhile post", when it is quite clear what reaction is intended to be given by that particular smiley: you're being a tad too serious.
If you were to start a poll up posing the question "Do you think the Town has gotten too spammy and is too relaxed?", I'm fairly sure which of 'Yes' and 'No' would be the winner. And that is perhaps a better way of assessing this: I can see where you stand, Inquisitor, on this all, and I do agree that it's a good way of going about keeping control of a large group of people, but in a more relaxed, more fun environment, it just doesn't work, really; all that happens is that you give yourself the image of one who's 'uptight', 'spoils people's fun' and soforth.
This is not the real world. Indeed, my real world at the moment, as is many others', is the world of exams. These can be just a little frustrating at times, and so any escape from it is a welcome relief. However, it just adds to my frustration further when I'm presented with essays on how the Town should be 'run', and even more frustrated when I feel that I have to try and point things out.
I think the poll is a good idea, if we're going to be like a 'proper Democratic Society'. Pass the ball to all the Townies, instead of giving us all the impression that you believe that you could very well go the whole length of the field and score. Your team will feel left out, and that's when what was once a game no longer is fun.

I'll take you up on that, CSC. I can't decide whether it should be general discussion or not, but lets let the mods decide.

You have done nothing to suggest you are getting rid of the spam on this forum, Jacket. The emoticon post shows you contributing to it, not dealing with it. As I have already said, and others have concurred, the Town is not overly spammy, and thus there is nothing for me to get rid of. You haven't seen any progress because you're not a part of the people that are working on the site/forum. Nice assumption, but I'm afraid I've got alot to say. But doing so would no doubt annoy the rest of the forum to no end. But then again, I told you most of my opinion on you and the Town situation in that little MSN conversation we had a couple of months ago. Maybe I should just post that? Yes, eventually it will end between Inq and myself. "When?" is entirely up to him. gg leaving my name out of the people who discuss the Palace queerbait. WTF MAN :angst: :linkinpark: Post of the year, CSC. Bravo.
