Look on the bright side, New York has one of the highest crime rates in the world, less criminals as a result.

FF TSW? i really didn't like the movie. I don't think it deserved the name FF. Blah, computer animation....the some of the characters had japanese names and they didn't even look japanese...hah.

I agree. I didn't want americans, I wanted people with japanese names to BE japanese. Let's put it to a vote: What FF game do you think SHOULD have been made instead of TSW?

None. FF games are Role-Playing games... you walk and there is a battle, you summon monsters, you use magic... and there are 400+ battles. After some battles and some bosses, you need to go find someone to help you. A movie like that would be boring... and a Final Fantasy movie without battles is also boring. So none.

FF: TSW would have been better in novel form.

Dude, it is a novel. It came out at the same time as the movie.

Nope, I think that that book would be a novelisation. Which I don't see the point of, as you might as watch the blummin' thing if they've spent a couple of million on it, as it's going to be exactly the same.

A novelisation is a book which is written based on the script of a film, rather than the film script being based off novels. These are always released around the same time as the film, and can have authors either pretty popularin their own fields, or virtually unknowns penning them. However, I don't see the point of these, as they are basically translations of the films, pictures into words. Film scripts based on novels however often change certain aspects of the story, probably for increased cinematic effect; this in my opinion is a good incentive for reading the novel.
I wonder if you got any of that, I'm not a particularly good explainer.

FF:TSW seemed like a MUCH better movie after I understood the ending. Anyone who has the DVD, watch it with the commentary on and you'll understand it a lot more. I started writing an article about it actually for the Palace, maybe I'll get round to finishing it one day.

Kamau actually visits RPG Town! A rare occasion! Someone pop some champagne!
Anyways, thanks for clearing that up CSC. I read the book and saw the movie, but I didn't buy either. Didn't seem like a good use of money. But that's just my opinion.
