This roleplay will be set in Lythere, a giant town built around a river. Lythere is run by three groups of power: The Order of Magi, The Politicians, and the Enforcers. The story is revolves around a group of humans who are searching for any evidence that the Magi truly are descended gods.
Requirements -------------- All characters must be HUMAN
All characters must have some connection to one of the three groups of power.
Characters all start in Lythere.
Character Sheets must be the same as Freestyle
10 characters must join for it to start. More may join afterwards, but I may decline some characters. --------------
I will post my sheet, as an example, into the next post.

----------- Name: Dorian Netherwood
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Class: Runaer
Race: Human
Weapon: Palm Rune (see other info)
Alignment: Chaotic Lawful
Looks: Skinny, with white hair. Weighs approx. 120 lbs. Has a black rune on left hand. No scars, physically weak.
Background: Dorian was born into a family of beggars. He ran into a dark, hooded man on the streets when he was 11. The man was quick to anger and cursed him with an ancient spell, the 'Hand of Power'. As the man walked away Dorian noticed a black rune spreading on his left hand.
Other: The rune on Dorian's hand, in it's normal state means 'Power'. Any emotion in great quantity will cause the rune to glow red-hot, morph into a different rune, cause an effect, then morph back to it's original state and turn black again. ----------- My character has a connection to the Magi

How about a better explanation? I barely understand this. Explain the orders, the history of the town and such.

10 characters will NEVER work. Hell, you can't have 10 characters in a chat RP, or even IRL. It's just uncontrollable. The max that a forum RP can have, if everyone is EXTREMELY active and noone is left out of a posting spree is 4, IMO.
I say rethink this.

Hmm, sorry for the discrepancies, I was in a hurry. Lets reduce the amount of players to 4. Lythere is a large fuedal-europe style city. It is on a continent far away from the chaotic Fog area (from the RP), where there are only humans. Later, I may allow some new races, but not many. This, in theory, should allow me to control what happens easier.
Back to the point. Lythere is a city of dictatorship. The three groups of power rule Lythere mercilessly. There are incredibly high taxes, outrageous laws, and an unjust justice system. Our heroes look for any evidence that the Magi are, as they claim, descended from the gods, which would explain they're magical ability, and give them a right to control the people.
THE ORDER/GROUPS OF POWER:
Magi: A group of people who have learned to control the elements. They truly do believe that they are rebirthed from Heaven and are meant to rule in God's name. Almost all of it's members follow this to the letter, and act with an air of superiority.
Politicians: The law section. Creates all laws, taxes, and bills. Most members are rich scribes who have never known poverty.
Enforcers: The police. Ensures that all laws are followed, even if they are outrageous. Responsible for most rape, murder, and theivery crimes, quite ironically. Members consist of big, brutish vagrants recruited off the street.

----------- Name: Zero Moriar
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Class: Mercenary, Blade Fighter Race: Human
Weapon: Buster Blade (see other info)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Looks: Well filled out, with Black/silver hair. Weighs approx. 210 lbs. Lots of scars and physically strong. About 6'5".
Background: A man with a dark past. Forced to kill another boy when he was seven while walking home one day, Zero became cold and began to kill his feelings. When he was thirteen, he killed his brother Marlo after he hit his younger brother with a stick by mistake. He fled home right after, taking the stone sword his father had found in an ancient tomb with him. The next day his father and sister caught up with him, and he fell off a bidge during a struggle. When he pulled himself out, the stone broke off of the sword to reveal a glowing blue crystal blade, and he quickly disarmed his family. He quickly killed his father. His sister, knowing he would kill her too, in desperation fled, only to be attacked and killed by a pack of wolves. Zero himself killed a couple of the beasts, but suffered several scars from the claws. The wolves ran, leaving him alone in the rain that was starting to come down. He began to wander, and his travels lead him to Lythere, where he makes his living as a freelance warrior.
Other: Zero's sword, the Buster Blade, was identified by a Magi in Lythere to be the weapon wielded by an ancient warrior known as the Dragon Knight. Is to be wielded by one who is of good and evil, and is a true warrior. It is not known if the blade can ever be destroyed, and anyone else who tries to use it will find it to be extremely heavy, due to its magic. The Magi was assassinated by an unknown killer before any more information could be obtained on it. ----------- He has connections with the Enforcers, both good and bad. The Magi don't like him much due to the death of the one who identified the weapon.

Note: This sounds TOO much like prerevolutionary France to me XD. Just change the sections with the estates, but instead of the third estate call it the French Army which was almost completely made up on the third estate anywho.
Name: Rolin Athmi Alignment: True Neutral Classes: Swordsman, Mage (Magi for this RP? XD) Sex: Male Weapon: Winter's Chill (see description) (Rolin adept with many different weapons, but prefers to use Winter's Chill because it is enchanted to increase his powers to make him seem like a more powerful Magi.) Age: 23 Height: 6'3" Weight: 220lb Build: Muscular Eyes: Gray, cold-looking eyes. Hair: Short, brushed back blue hair. Attire: Rolin wears a shoulder hugging royal blue cape with silk outsides and cloth inside to hold it together. This is worn over a silk shirt with thin lightweight steel threads running through it as a light form of armor, which comes to about his elbow's length on the arms and drapes down to about 1/4th of the way down his legs, which is tucked into his pants, which have silk lining and a deep blue cloth outside with steel plates at the thighs and knees. The shirt has a shimmering effect, which compliments the silk throughout his dressing. A quilted (Think Downy© paper towels) green jacket goes over his shirt, but Rolin wears it open, so the shirt is still visible, usually. Plated leather boots with silk lining, of course, are his footware. A long, thin sheathe runs down his left side hanging from a belt that does nothing beyond hold it up. The belt is underneath Rolin's jacket, while the sheathe of his sword hangs out a bit. Rolin's sword, which he named Winter's Chill, is quite a wonder to behold. All of the steel used to make the blade was melted down and mixed with melted sapphire; Which is quite difficult to make. The result is a shining blade that is colored what could truly only be described as watter, blue and shimmering, but not nearly as transparent. Spells were cast on the blade at it's forging by Rolin's father and a close friend of his, imbuing it with the powers of electricity, ice, water, and cold. Rolin wears a silver ring with a sword-shaped sapphire crest in it, which is the crest of Rolin's mother's family. Spells were cast on the ring by Rolin's father before it was given to Rolin as a 19th birthday present.
History: Rolin was born to a Magi man that raped a polititian's wife. His true father controlled the highest ranks of the Enforcers. Rolin's mother's wife was killed and the Magi took her as his own. She constantly was treated like a slave, despite being of noble birth. When Rolin was born, the man that delivered him felt a chill in his hands. He began shivering like crazy, until Rolin's father grabbed Rolin from the supposed doctor's hands and held him. This made him think that Rolin was his reincarnation, considering that the first element that he controlled was that of water and cold. Rolin was raised just as his father had been; Given everything he wanted, spoiled, and forced to read every book that could become available. In an act of rage, Rolin killed his mother at the age of four. Rolin's father covered up this fact, and to this day noone has found out about it. Rolin is now his father's second hand man in running the Enforcers. His father has taught him to resent the humans, but as of late, some of the lower ranked officers in Rolin's command have brought several books to his attention that he was never made to read . . . Books that spoke of revolution, and how it was unfair to treat those that weren't gifted like dirt. Since reading those books, Rolin has been caught in a deadlock emotionally- There are already suspicions of his origins and of him not being pure, which would lead him to be killed, or outcast if his father tries to stop it. On the other hand, he knows that he isn't completely "perfect" as the other Magi put it, and wants to help everyone; Since everyone is his kin.
Summary: Wise far beyond his years, extremely intelligent, and physically strong, Rolin only lacks one quality of a truely great leader; Decisiveness. Rolin is extremely strong-willed, has an extremely intimidating appearance, and yet is extremely shy and is extremely cautious so that he doesn't hurt anyone or anything. Rolin has but to get his father to help him stand up to the rest of the Magi to accomplish his goals of equality for all, but that shall never happen. Is there another that would stand up before him, so that he would not be afraid? Or is Rolin doomed to live a life of which he is not intended to?
Genin, this okay? Sorry, I usually enjoy being a little mix of everything . . . Since I base my character in practically every RP that I can remember off of myself.

Hmm, thats four alright... I like your characters, all of them are wonderful, but, I did find one flaw. Trance, when you said that he had come to resent the humans, did you mean simplyh that he believed himself to be more than human, or is NOT human, which is not allowed yet for this RP.

I'm pretty sure that I said lesser humans . . . And since he was raised to be just like any other Magi, he didn't care for the lesser humans spare a few ones that were the highest among their classes, capable of having the privilage of having a conversation with him and such. And by capable I mean allowed to XD

Alrighty then, I shall begin. ---------------------------------- Dorian Netherwood was talking to a freelance soldier, looking for protection. There was a mysterious Magi chasing him all over the city, apparantly trying to eradicate the threat that was Dorian's curse, the Palm Rune. "Please Mr. Moriar, sir, I can't pay you, for I am poor, but.........I am in danger, can you not help??"

Wickerman opened the door to the bounty office. He stepped up to the counter. "Anything new?" He ask the man at the counter in his strange flowing voice. "For you... Naw..." the bounty agent said.. "Oh wait!.. Yeah.. I got something," he went over to some cabbinets and pickout a folder. The agent went back to the counter and dropped in front of Wickerman. "Here.. Its about some kid. Umm.. 14, I think.. Anyway.. somebody wants him taken in.. though there's another guy that wanted this kid protected. I donno they both pay the same thing. But so far Mercson when to go find the kid. Y'know how you two are always competing.. I think you should protect kid, just to bust his balls." The agent explained. "hmmm... Indeed.. that sounds like fun.." Wickerman said as he turned and lefted.

Zero glared at the kid that stood before him, begging for assistance. "You haven't got anyone who will pay me for your well-being, have you? I'll settle for a bottle of wine or some good food as payment."
