Yes. Oh Bob yes that would be great. ... But why only once a day? You Rolin, are a genius ^_^; Anyways, I've decided to start it early. Five people is enough, and we may get some more along the way. So, without further ado, In the Fog... ~ The Fog was especially thick in Edenmoor this morning, Raven thought to himself as he leapt down from the tree on the edge of town where he had spent the night. He called out to his pet Raven and it flapped down onto his shoulder. He kind of liked it when the fog got this thick. Just right for a couple of easy pick pocket jobs, not bad enough to make you forget who you were. As he wandered through town over to the bakery so he could grab breakfast with yesterday's pickings, he heard a great mass of voices from down the street. As big as Edenmoor was, it wasn't often a group like this gathered. <Hmm..maybe I should check it out...> He though to himself <Might be a good oportunity to make some cash on the side...> When Raven got to the source of the voices, he was amazed to see what had caused this gathering. At least fifty beings of all shapes and sizes were lined up in front of a house's door. Above the door hung a sign that read "Brave Souls Wanted. Be the First to Explore the Fog"...

Meekia stood in line, trying to look past the crowds. She didn't know how far she was in line... she was hoping that she was close to the front though. She didn't mind the crowds today... she was more interested in seeing what this was all about... plus she wanted to head back towards her home town. As she waited in line, she began to tinker with a small gadget in her hands.
She sighs and murmurs in a tiny voice, "This is taking way too long..."

Elengar was already standing in the crowd of people. He was the only Nortom there and he felt very alone. He stood with his arms crossed and seemed to be very interested.

Rolin had been waiting outside the house for some time. He took in a deep breath of the fog, followed by a heavy exhale.
"Nothing like the morning fog to wake you up . . . Or the <evening fog, or the night fog for that matter. It's all the same, anyway . . . > Rolin thought to himself.
He rummaged through his cloak to find a drink, pulled out a small clear vile, took off the cap and drank from it. He put the cap back on and put it in it's place.
Rolin looked around him to see if he noticed any familiar faces. What he ended up doing was staring into a mob of unknown people, not even an acquaintance.
Rolin began talking to himself, out loud . . . Noone around him could hear what he was saying, but those next to him might know that he was talking. <Who that I know would be here anyway? Pssh, not like any of them care that I'm going . . . > Rolin turned down and stared at the ground, lightly kicking it a few times with his right foot. <Does it matter anyway . . . Gah! I shouldn't be thinking like this. I should go with my instincts, it's what I should always be like . . . And if I'm refused for some reason, I could always follow behind them.> Rolin smiled, then turned to the house with a blunt stare, and spoke out loud, <Yeah. I'm gettin' out of here, no matter what.>

Raven stared at the sign in awe, as if it were a message from the Gods themselves.
"Does...does this mean I could leave?" he whispered to himself. "I'd...I'd do anything to get out of here." Raven thought about it for only a split second. <I'll do it.> He thought, and with that, he began pushing and shoving his way to the start of the line...

Elengar felt a man brush by him. He grabbed him on the shoulder.
"Hey. You need to wait in line just like the rest of us." he gave him a slightly evil glance.

Raven glared at the man who had grabbed him out of the corner of his eyes. "I'm afraid I don't wait." Raven then twisted his shoulder out of the man's hand and continued down the line. Getting a lot of angry shouts as he did so.

Rolin felt a shove, but planted his other foot in front of him quickly and firmly, preventing him from moving far. He turned his head back over his shoulder, speaking loudly. <Going somewhere?> Rolin said with a smile, as he turned to face the man that was shoving his way through the line.

"As a matter of fact, I am. What's it to you?"

Rolin laughed loudly. <Well guess what? Everyone in this line is. And we lined up for a reason, and it wasn't so you could practice your shoving technique. I would prefer if you moved back to the end of the line.>
Rolin flared open his cloak on the right side using his shoulder, revealing his clothing, which shone quite bright compared to everything else through the fog. He took hold of one of his arrows using his right hand, which seemed like he was ready to unsheathe a blade, while hoping to hide the handle of his broadsword, which was slightly sticking out of his inner cloak, with his elbow.
Rolin's face turned grim and harsh, as did his tone. <I would suggest you walking backwards, it would help you practice your shoving in case you need to do it to someone that's behind you.>

"Look pal. It's not my fault you feel like being a polite SOB and waiting in line, but personally, I don't have the time. Now I don't want to have to start something gory with this many people around, so I suggest you move and let me by."

Rolin laughed. He laughed long and hard. When he was content with his mockery, he looked back down to the man trying to pass him.
<The door's closed right now anyway, so it won't do you any good to pass.> Rolin said, still chuckling a bit. His face became scornful and grim again, as he spoke almost as if scolding a child. <Despite how tempting it is to give you a broken nose as a present for being so arrogant, but then again, there's always the fact that it would probably make it harder to get out of this d**ned place.>
Rolin looks through his coat, and pulls out a small leather pouch. He unties the rope closing the opening, puts his hand in, grasps a small bit of powder with the tip of his fingers, then looks back up to the man he is facing. He flicks some at the man's face, then ties up the pouch, and puts it away.
<There. Gonna shutup, now?> Rolin asks, jokingly. <Just tell me if ya start feelin drowsy at all.> Rolin laughs, then turns back around to face the house.

Meekia looked back at the two shouting men silently... they weren't too far from where she stood... and it made her nervous... she put the little gadget away and watched the two.

Raven gives the man an angry look, then whispers quietly to the man, "Never turn your back on potential enemy. It's too crowded for me to kill you here, but keep your eyes open. I'll be back." With that, Raven slinked back into the mass of people. Disappearing from sight.

Jerahn the K'ida musician was in the crowd, surrounded by strangers and friends alike. As he was usually seen doing, he was strumming notes on his lute, as he remembered the words of his mother: "Miss Harat at the Market said that the city is forming a group of peopel to venture into the Fog and travel the world, using some sort of new invention old man Girathar concocted." His mother Yirill said as she was cooking a stew. "A party? Why is that of any interest to me?" Jerahn replied, tuning his masterwork lute, making sure the chords weren't too tight. "You should go. Spread your musical gift with the world. Bring fame tom the family name" she tossed some spices in the stew, and it simmered loudly "What? I wouldn't be accepted. It sounds like their asking for warriors and soldiers." *Twang!* a chord had just snapped "Not really, no. You have plenty of assets a party would need. You're the finest musician in the city, so you can help with morale, plus, we K'ida are fine cooks. Always have been. Surely a band of adventurers needs well-prepared food?" She stirred the stew 3 times, then added soem diced vegetable roots. The pot gave off a delicious aroma that filled the house "And you're not too shabby with a sword, either. I told you those classes would pay off when you were young" "Yeah, I suppose" Jerahn replied, twisting in another chord "Promise me you'll go register tomorrow? This is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity" She began serving hiot, steaming servings of the soup in smaller bowls. "Sure, mom, tomorrow, no problem" *TWANG!*
And now, here Jerahn was standing, in an nearly endless crowd. Lost in his memory, he subconsiously started playing on his lte. Though it was a rudimentary piece (one he had mastered at the age of 6) it was very pleasing to the ear and many people around him were watching his seven fingers move seamlessly on the chords, never missing a note. One of them happened to be a fine-looking woman in a blue dress. She smiled at him, and Jerahn smiled back, admiring her sleek figure and white, unscathed face. His thoughts were interrupted when a conflist seemed to be arising further back in the line. Though he couldnt see the them, Jerahn heard two distinctly angry voices. Many people turned to watch, but the brutish tuffle of two strangers was of know concern of him. Anyways, the doors to the registration building had jsut closed. They would open them again after screening the 50 people in there, then allow another 50 in, and so on until everyone was registered and ready for evaluation. Jerahn sighed, sat down, and begin playing "Juht 'a Had" a soothing piece for which he had a fondness for.
