Yes, a new RP. This one is actually going to start, due to to the fact that it's going to be in the style of LQ, with few planned events (I'm going to throw something in everyonce in a while, so try not to do anything TOO major). Come in when you want, though if we already have too many players I might say you can't join.
I reserve the right to deny any character access.
Story:
In the beginning, the world was a place of pure bliss. All beings lived peacefully, never wanting or needing. For a time, all was good. Then the Gods became angry, for the mortals were living better than the deities themselves. The Gods then descended from the heavens, and destroyed city after city. After a while, the Gods decided one by one, that enough destruction had been wreaked, and returned to the heavens. Leaving one last reminder of who held power to the mortals. A magical fog that covered the entire world. Mortals were forced to group in cities, for if one travelled out into the fog, they would either come back dazed and confused the next day, or not come back at all.
Centuries later, the fog is lifting, and a new age of exploration is dawning, and brave adventurers from every corner of the world are setting out to discover it's lost secrets...
~Your character~
Name: Age: Race: Class: Weapon: Personality: Appearance/Picture:
Hometown: Description of Hometown: All characters now begin in Edenmoor. The cities you've described will be saved for later in the game.
~My character~
Name: Raven
Age: 26
Race: Darkling
Class: Theif
Weapon: Katar
Personality: Tending to stick to himself, Raven is a quiet, withdrawn person. He rarely speaks unless spoken to, and sometimes it's rare even then. He seems to have an affinity for birds, which would explain his alias. It would also explain the pet raven he has, that often sits on his shoulder. When he does make a remark, it is usually fairly wise.
Appearance: Black hair down just past his shoulders, pale skin, he wairs a mask over his face from the chin to under his eyes most of the time. He is fairly tall and wears a black/dark red cloak and gloves. He fights with a retractable Katar, but only on one arm.
Hometown: Edenmoor
Hometown Description: A bustling rural town set in a valley inbetween two mountains. Many different peoples were trapped in Edenmoor when the fog came down, so it has become a metropolis of different races and crossbreeds.

I'm sorry, but there are a few things about your character that need changing about your character. 1. Other than humans, I'm going to disallow all generic races. I should have mentioned this before. Besides, if you were a 15 year old Elf...You'd be like a 2 year old human. 2. Your parents died when the gods came down? No, considering that was a very, very, very long time ago, I think not. Not even Elves make it that long bub. 3. In your hometown's description it talks about Louis. Who the hell is Louis? Fix these things, and you should be fine.

OK. He is now a human. His parents died in a war. Lewis is the guy's name! (and it's not spelled Louis) Now is it better?

Well...I'd like to say yes. But no. Did you even read the above setting? How the hell do you have a war when you can't leave town? Please, please, if you're going to join, think about this kind of stuff carefully. Don't just throw in some cliche backround and hope it works.

~My character~
Name: Elengar Starnor
Age: 26
Race: Nortom
Class: Necromancer/fighter
Weapon: Dual 2' 6" long swords. Each one has elegant carvings in a forgotten language on both sides of it. They are said to be enchantments but have shown any sign of improving the blades.
Personality: He will often times help strangers with any problems they need. He will be nice to everyone he meets, even if they are trying to rob him. He avoids all confrontation and prefers to talk his way out of things. Although he often times chooses peace over pain, he can still deal out massive damage to all foes. He tries not to become such great friends with anyone because he does not want to feel any more pain when they are gone. He does not have any kind of relationship with a woman for the same reason.
Appearance: Many people will avoid conversation with the Nortoms just beacuse of their appearance. They have very dark and sinister looks that come from they ancestors. Their personalities, however, do not quite go with their appearance. They are peaceful and friendly and enjoy quiet conversations. Their personalities come from another one of their ancestors, as they are a cross breed of races.
Their magic is also something unique to them. It utilizes dark energies and converts them to light evergy. They can use that pure form of light to raise the dead and bring undead creatures to their side.
Elengar wears a suit of armor that was designed by one side of his ancestors. It is made of the hide of a mountain dwelling, black furred animal. It's durability acts like hard leather but it can withstand the test of time for nearly 100 years. An enlarged plate covers his neck from attackers. The entire suit of very ragady and is even tied together by cloth on some parts. Too many foreigners, the armor looks exotic and helpful. Too the Nortoms, it is a sign of how poor the wearer is and shows their irrelevance to the society.
Edit: Changed a few things and junk and stuff.

Name: Meekia Keeta Age: 15 (equvilant to 11 human years) Race: Greghas Class: Inventor Weapon: dagger and tools (wrench etc etc) Personality: Very happy-go-lucky and confident most of the time, though is a bit skittish around humans and strangers. She is a good friend to those who treat her as a friend and not as "another stupid ugly thing". Appearance/Picture: Greghas look alot like goblins appearance wise, though aren't nearly as ugly as they are. Meekia is short and frail looking and has long red hair. She has a pair of googles strapped on her head and wears a light brown shirt with many oil stains and pockets as well as her dark brown pants do as well. She wears an eye patch over her right eye due to an accident she had gotten into when she was younger. Picture coming soon. Drawing it. Hometown: Geisten Description of Hometown: Used to be one of the most populated cities, though it has been abandoned. Small numbers of Greghas now inhabit the city. The city has tall, steam driven machines and buildings to provide power to the area and in hopes of dulling the effects of the fog around it as well. Some steam machines also provide some protection to the city.

Question: Wouldn't it make more sense if all PCs came from the same town? Character interaction's going to be a tad difficult when we're seperated by several miles of killer magic fog

We've done some talking about this, and Edenmoor is being revised. All players now start there. Read the description in my first post. I'm editing it now...

Windows sucks. I spent 30 minutes writing a fuggin' full fledged description and it goes poof due to IE having problems.
Yes, f#ck you, Windows.
After dinner, teh bad mood was gone so I got to rewrite it! w00t!
Name: Rolin Athmi
Age: 71
Race: Rusalky [The Rusalky are a mysterious race that are said to have spawned from the fog. This is close, but not quite true. In reality, they were spawned from a couple that got thrown into the fog due to large debts. When they came out a few days later, they were barely walking, both had their hair miscolored to different shades of blue, and had gray eyes. They could not remember who they were or what had happened, but were able to grasp so many new arts and ways to do things that they paid their old debts out of respects and led their new lives peacefully- And abnormally long, each only growing about 1 year for every 3. The Rusalky were originally shunned by soceity, but have earned their place among the greater thinkers through time. Practically all of Rusalky descent are trained to "be as water", and so usually live near the city borders or near water supplies, so that they are always near what they strive to be, in some form or another.
There is a ritual, which acts both as a rite of passage and a death warrant, for the Rusalky race. At both the ages of 60 and 150, they are to venture out into the mist. At the age of 60, it is for two days, symbolising the journey of the first Rusalky couple into the mist. At the age of 150, they are to stay for three days, symbolising their increase in lifespan, 50 being the average lifespan of humans in the city. Being already used to the mist to a point slightly beyond that of normal humans, the Rusalky can usually survive in the mist so long as they don't go crazy from the starvation and lack of senses (sight, hearing, taste due to starvation) at the younger age of 60, but almost always die because their bodies are so frail at the older age of 150.
(The extended lifespan takes its toll on their physical abilities later on in life. They live longer, but their last years are more painful due to body decay; All of the more reason to go through with the ritual.)]
Class: Figher/Ranger/Chemist
Weapons: Rolin carries a large blade almost as long as he is tall on his back, a bow attached to a quiver hanging from his belt on his left, and several viles of liquids and solutions in his cloak used for sustanance, battle, and other applications. He has a small curved blade sheathed on a small holster attached to a belt on his left thigh used for non-battle things such as cooking and gardening, as well as a blue-crystal broadsword sheathed on his right, and a small round shield made of a lightweight, weak form of steel on his back, which helps to keep his large blade in place. He keeps a purple linen sack on his right side, hanging from his belt over his broad sword that holds his food.
Personality: Rolin is quiet, thoughtful, and shy. He is slow to warm up to others, but once he does, finds himself "at home". He prefers not to rush into things, and pays close attention to details; Because of such attention to small matters, he tends to miss obvious things. He is kind, polite, and courteous, unless he feels that a person deserves otherwise. Rolin considers himself superior to most people, but always tries to say and do to prove that he doesn't. Rolin tends to bottle up his emotions, but when he is "set off" by a rather big event, he becomes consumed by emotion, usually being sadness or rage.
Appearance: Rolin has short, dark blue hair that he brushes back. He has piercing gray eyes, and an overall look of gloom or scorn to his face, depending on how you see it. His apparel consists of a glimmering long-sleeved shirt of lightweight steel threads woven in with soft silk, pants of a similar technique, only with the steel threads woven into leather. Rolin chose an old, worn, dark, multilayered cloak to wear on his journey. It consists of a large robe worn around the body, including a headpiece to protect from rain, several pockets and small half-ring outcroppings of fabric on the inside to hold small items, and a cape coming down from the shoulders to just below the knees, in the back. It is inbetween the main body of the cloak and the cape that Rolin keeps his large blade, as to not alarm any travellers that he meets on his travels, and his bow, quiver, broadsword, dagger, and food pouch are kept inside the main body of the cloak. Even with all of the light-weight materials used in his equipment, he is weighed down so much that his natural speed from being so tall is taken away, as well as any agility he would have had.

This should be fine Rolin. Don't you just wish you had a pet Bill Gates so you could beat him up every bloody day? Anyways, yeah, this is fine. About one more and we'll start.
