Drayne handed his friend on of the crossbows. "Isn't your sword in your room?" he asked as he grabbed the other two bows. "Come on. I'll go gear up the others."

Red:
"Yes, it is, but is a sword the best weapon for a Dragon hunting?" he asked to Drayne.

Shiguru spoke without looking at anyone - he was looking out the window at nothing in patricular.
"True, Red, but whoever has a bow or crossbow here could fire arrows and the dragon to distract it whilst others attack with swords and other close combat weapons. I'm sure the arrows will do at least some damage... especially mine!" He said, finishing with a smile.
Shiguru drew his bow for the first time since he had met the party. He could see a distorted reflection in the polished, beautiful oak wood, and he could see the light reflecting on the 24 carat gold tips. He looked back towards the wooden part of the bow, and saw something behind his reflection. He was at the back of the group, so it couldn't be any member of the party. He could see some faint red dots, which looked like eyes starting to come into focus. A shiver went down Shigurus spine, as he jumped up, equipping a bow as he jumped and turned at the same time. He held a bow just inches away from the head of a cloaked man who's piercing red eyes were the only part of his body not covered.

Drayne heard something behind the group and heard Shiguru spin around. Drayne's instinct told him not to just turn, but duck. He quickly did both while gripping his weapon's hilt.

Shiguru began to speak, but was immediatly cut off by a crushing knee to the chest by the phantom-like intruder. Shiguru began to double-up, as the intruder broke his arrow in half and took the orb out of Shigurus shirt whilst Shiguru was in a daze.
Drayne ran toward the intruder, his sword raised and his voice rising to a shout of anger, but not attacking with incredible fast speed as he had earlier whilst praticing with the trees and boulders, because the lightening had drained his energy. The intruder span around, kicking Drayne in the jaw with a sharp heel, and then firing a sharp electric blue cylinder shaped magic beam out of his palms, straight into Draynes chest. Drayne went flying into the nearby wall, collapsing in a heap, but still conscious.
Shiguru tried to attack the intruder from behind with his sword, attempting to escape the fate Drayne had just recieved, but was caught with an elbow and several punches. The attacker shot another blast of magic at Shiguru, sending him flying back and crashing through the window. He fell the 20 or so floors to the ground below, and landed in a marshy-lake. The intruder immediatley ran towards and down the stairs, but ran so fast he seemed to disappear.
(OOC: This post only lasts about 10 seconds, which is why some characters wouldn't have attacked the intruder)

Drayne felt the pain rushing through him, but he wasn't about to give up. Jumping back up, while in a bit of pain, he quickly ran to the stairs, crossbow at hand. He aimed and fired the grappling chain, but was a moment or two slow, and it failed to clothesline the thief by an inch or so.

Shigurus body floated upwards, to the top of the marsh. He rolled over, gasping for breath heavily. He looked up at the light coming from the window in which he had fell. He knew he was lucky to be alive.
After several minutes, he gained the strength to slowly swim over to the side of the marsh and drag himself out. Shiguru stood up, wobbling and shaking around. He slowly stumbled a few feet in the direction of the door, before collapsing, unconscious.

Drayne threw his bow aside and ran down the stairs after the thief. Of course, when your boots are still kind of wet you tend to slip, and that's exactly what happened to Drayne. He slipped on the third step and began to roll down the stairs. Soon he was closer to the thief, but his bones were rattled. How much more could Drayne take?

Drayne, after falling a long way, ended up right behind the thief and knocked him over. The thief also began to roll and the two crashed down at the bottom of the stairs six flights down. He managed to grab the thief's ankle to stop him from running.

(OOC: I'm being the thief, whilst Shiguru is out cold ) The Thief hesitently lifted himself up on his elbows, and leaned over to one side, giving him a clear view of the man who knocked him over. Drayne wasn't moving, but he was holding onto the Thiefs ankle tightly, with incredible strength for someone in his condition. Thief shook his leg, but that didn't help, the man just held on tighter. The thief tried to prise Draynes fingers open. He didn't have much strength or energy left becuase of the two blasts he shot at Shiguru and this man. The man had remarkable endurance to still be conscious after all he'd been through... The man looked up at the thief, hazily. He smiled and shook his head, as if to say "I'm not letting go...!". This made the thief furious. He kicked forwards with the foot the man was holding onto, smashing into his jaw. When the man had let go of the thiefs ankle, the thief picked him up by his neck and held him against the wall, staring at him with the thiefs dark, menacing red eyes which put Drayne in a sort of trance. "Drayne Hidora..." Said the thief, in a raspy, disturbingly snake-like voice. "Don't try to be a hero..." The thief then picked Drayne up by his neck, still, and through him against the opposite wall so hard it made cracks in it. He punched him in the face at least eight times, one after another in quick succession. He then backed off and watched as Drayne fell forward, bleeding and bruised. He picked him up again, and kicked Drayne in the chest, in his abodomen, his jaw and head. To finish off the apalling beating Drayne had recieved, the thief picked him up with ease and threw him at least ten feet into the wall by the stairs. He then walked over to Drayne and whispered in his ear: "Next time you see your friend, Shiguru Grailion, tell him that the Sirigoho will be watching him, and if he tries to pull a stunt like this again, he won't see the light of day again. And... tell him that I, Desiphigus, will take a personal pleasure in making sure it happens to him in the most slow and painful way possible..." He then ran off down the corridor and turned a corner.

Drayne coughed and spat, and a small amount of blood and saliva hit the floor. Drayne was bleeding from his nose and lip, as well as a few scratches he got from the slightly pointy edges of the stairs. The blood he was losing was not serious. He could handle it. The bruises were something else, however. He could even tell he had a couple of cracked ribs and a sprained right wrist. Luckily he was left handed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As the thief, Desiphigus, turned the corner to go out the tower's door, six people blocked his path. Two were beast hunters, big men with halberds. Two were guards, and they carried smaller spears. The last two were Azura's daughter, Jydilis, and his son, Medoris. They both held a pair of long swords. "You shall not pass!" Medoris shouted.
