Taken from UK PS2 Magazine - Playstation World
Scream and Scream again...
Utter S***: Street Fighter, Double Dragon, Super Mario Bros., Tomb Radier 2. Passable in a six-pack-and-pizza kinda way: Mortal Kombat, Wing Commander, Final Fantasy. Pretty d**n good: um, er, some people kinda liked Resident Evil didnt they? We're talking movies here people. Do keep up. Bearing all of this in mind. a Silent Hill movie doesnt have much to live up to, especially if you've seen any of the above turkeys and your expectations are low. The films credentials arnt bad though, with Brotherhood of the Wolf director Christophe Gans at the helm. Konami is also on hand to hopefully make sure the script, monsters and sound effects do justice to the frankyly arse-trebling games. The superfically similar Alone In The Dark movie will come out first, but given that its from the people behind the woeful House Of The Dead and features Christian Slater in the lead role it is unlikely to present too much of a problem.
Apologies for any typos, done really fast and not looking at screen.
Anyway what are your thoughts? Apparently Brotherhood of the Wolf was a good film and if they have the SH game's crew behind the everything but the direction I think it could be a winner.

A Silent Hill movie heh?
I just hope they won't screw up and put cheesy dialogues between the characters,or to make it short, not ruining the serie because of something like that.

I also heard they were making a Fatal Frame movie.
And they're making another Mortal Kombat movie, a Devil May Cry movie, and a rumored Metal Gear Solid movie.

Actually, when you go see a movie, that's cause you think it look good. Well, until you discover they showed all the good parts of the movie in the advert.

Go watch Jacob's Ladder, it's Silent Hill in movie format before SH was ever conceived. The references to JL in SH are uncanny.
- The subway train in SH3 looks identical. - Lots of people with rapidly twitching/shaking heads. - Silent Hillish music. - Bergen Street!! (Jacob is heading for there on the train, in SH3 there is a sign towards it) - Mary/Maria basic character references. - Insane asylum
Also Session 9 has some very Silent Hill moments. In fact the part in SH3 where you see a wheelchair behind a panel of glass with light shining on it is taken directly from Session 9. And for SH2 fans, look out for the killer twist.

games to movies will never work out, but i did like resident evil though. RE:Nemesis The Movie is coming soon of course. Even so most of these games are just for the fans of the games.....but street fighter, lame jokes?...which is all i think. Why the humor in these movies?....well i guess they gotta.
