I just played MGS2 Substance by my friends house, and the VR missions are awesome in this game. I'm starting to give MGS2 a second chance. Raiden isn't as cool as snake but he's still a good character. I'll never stop hating the retarded arm part, but I won't hate the entire game anymore. Still, none of the MGS games will ever be as good as the first one(considering the arm in the storyline). That's why I think the twin snakes will be the best one.

The arm thing makes perfect sense, I cannot see why you find it "retarded"... The first Metal Gear Solid will always be the best game in the series if not the best game ever made. I gotta play it again when Twin Snakes comes out...

No,it didn't make sense...Just how can the soul of Liquid be in his hand?Sure,it's Liquid's hand, but how can he do that?!

I am guessing that his nanomachines conatined his mental data, so as long as some part of his body is living, he can come back to life and eventually spread his information to the rest of the body. He is called LIQUID Snake for a reason, if you noticed...

I really liked MGS2, but the only 3 things that annoyed me:
*It was too easy *Over-done storyline *And that name Loo-La-Lei-Lee-Lo or whatever how corny.

La-li-lu-le-lo? I can't remember the relevance within that name- it's either something in French or a just a made-up line of Japanese syllables.

Probably japanese, there's nothing like that in the french language...unless it is some french song from France, but I don't think so.
Anyway, what made it easy?Hummm.....too much cutscene? Also that most of the time you just have to stay hid and aim at an enemy and shoot him in the head.

When are they going to release Twin Snakes on the PS2? And when is MGS3 coming out?
Anyways, Is the "La-li-lu-le-lo" a codename for the Patriots?
Also, about Liquid's arm thing, the Snake brothers aren't really human, so they may be able to live with just one body part.
I didn't start liking the storyline till after a few times I played it. I finally understood who the Patriots are and what the S3 meant, so I think the storyline is better than people give credit. Raiden, however, is another story. Why can't he be the NPC and Snake be the main character?

Basically, Ocelot gets his lost arm replaced with Liquid's. the Liquid randomly controls Ocelot's mind throughout the game.
And to all those people who say that part sucked.................Grey Fox?

La-li-lu-le-lo if im not mistaking is a b c d e in Japanese, or so i've heard.
And the arm thing is stupid, but the nanomachines idea is good but they do breakdown overtime, remember the end of MGS when snake said "My nanomachines must be gone, so they cant follow us now". In true SciFi fasion he would need a little machine that puts them in his blood regularly, becuse they would just be filtered out through the kidneys.
Sorry im a real informer i look everything up. After I played MGS1 I looked up all i could on Nanomachines so i could tell my friends so they thought I was smart. Heh heh heh.....
Oh and how Liquid could change Ocelots voice is just wrong, its impossible without the loss of the orginal voice. Since Liquids is higher then ocelots he would need to tighten the vocal cords.
Oh and devil you mentoned FoxDie, well foxdie was used to stop liquids heart thust killing him. It in know way killed off his nanomachines. Infact it probly helped them stay in his blood so ocelot could recive them which helps prove Alex's idea.
Anything else? I think i covered most of it.
Oh and what was the city that Ocelot got his arm transplant? Wasn't it Viena, or something?

Armondo, you have to remember, MGS is FICTION. In fiction, you can have whatever you want...MGS is in the real world, yes, but they can have changes in science and technology since they set the time after todays present. And the voice thing is easy- the Snakes are supposed to be incredibly powerful, I doubt that their Nanomachines could be lost so easily. The stuff in MGS is posible, but it has fictitious technology in it. I see your point but I don't think any less of the plot.
I also think your theory about Foxdie helping his Nanomachines survive is very plausible. What I think is, in MGS3, half the game will be a prequel and the other half will be a sequel to MGS2. Sorta like Resident Evil 3.
