But people are constantly going on in this board about arcade and neogeo emulation. Not to mention SNES. To lock this topic would mean you have to lock nearly every other topic in the OGG. Both Dan, I, afiguy, Rpgland, and several others have freely endorsed and provided links to different emulation websites, without any reprimand. To lock a simple GBA topic is a tad hypocritical

SNES is dead.
Neogeo stopped making arcade games long ago, I believe. Besides, it'd be different for arcade games if you can bring them home. Some people have arcade games at home, but this is a rarity. So recreating this experience on the PC is simply cause you CAN'T go out and buy it.
However, GBA is still active, unlike SNES, and is easily available for purchase, unlike the Arcade games. I'll support ROMs for systems that are out of buisness or otherwise inaccesible. but GBA is different as you're stealing from Nintendo's buisness by downloading ROMs instead of going out and buying the game. So GBA ROM forums will be locked until PaulC says otherwise. Thank you.

Oh,I learn something new.I don't have a GBA,so the thing lying on my bed presently isn't called a GBA,even though it has the same appearance.I asked for the roms cause I wanted to try them to see if I liked them.I don't want to buy something I don't like.

Ummmmh...actually, nothing wrong with ROMs, nope. You only get to keep them for about 24 hours and then you have to delete them. See, if you BUY the game, you get to keep it forever and play it anytime you like. But you can only play a ROM as a demo that expires 24 hours after download.
Well, you're supposed to, anyway.

I don't see any wrong that Thores lock ROM threads. If RPG Town don't support ROM or RM2K3 things, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PEOPLES WHINING!?!?

^_^ Thank you for the support, Sano, but there's no need to yell.
And Sharkie, I'm aware of the 24 hour rule, but the thing is that I know NO one who follows it. And do you think that the guys who host these ROM sites own every single game they host? No be rediculous.

Not to try to spark anything, I just want to give the Neo Geo props. The Neo Geo does still get stuff released for it and arcade. Very rarely and I don't know how much more will be coming out but they still do. Each game releases at about $250+ these days.

SNES is dead? They don't make any more SNES games, but many still play it. (FF4, 5, 6, SoM, SoM2, SoE, etc.)

No,the market for it isn't totally dead,I bought one(SNES2) 4 years ago(I know,4 years,it's long),but I saw some on sale not long ago,so SNES isn't dead.

I didn't read all of the thread, but you guys are being a bit too whiny. I stand beside Thores in this. I fully understand the problem with ROMs. And yes, the SNES market has been dead for quite some time. EDIT: I just read the whole thread...no changes to my stance.

The guys who made the SNES are no longer making profit on it, and new games are no longer being made for it, and no new games for it have been made in YEARS. In that sense, the SNES is dead.
