The ones I've listed are just some of the more popular games out there in arcades. Me, I usually play a good round of X-Men vs Street Fighter (The Original Vs game, biotch) and also partake in getting I disagree kicked by 20-something guys in Capcoms Vs SNK2. But my arcade experience is usually varied. Because I'm asian, people expect me to automatically rule at Dance Dance Revolution, which is a dissapointment for them because I utterly suck.
I remember arcades... Its been so long since I've been in one there isn't many where I live. Street Fighter and all that was my favorite. Nothing better than mashing the buttons until you win... then creeping away when you accidently break one of them lol.
I mostly played older arcade games, sidescrolling X-Men, Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara, etc. One fun thing to do is to put quarters into both 1st and 2nd player in games like House of the Dead and use both guns. Zombie-annihilating-akimbo-goodness. Mmmm...
You can be the hero. I'll be the guy selling the healing items before every dungeon and making a huge, stinking profit! Why be a hero anyway? Power to the nameless supporting class!
