Inspired by Inquisitor's search for Simon the Sorceror MIDIs in RPG Makers General, and the fact that I haven't created a topic in a while, I decided to make a list of all the P'n'C's that I've played (and completed). If anyone's played any of 'em, then we've got an area of discussion.
In no particular order:
Monkey Island Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge The Curse of Monkey Island Sam and Max Hits the Road Simon the Sorceror Toonstruck Grim Fandango (not too point 'n' clicky, but brill nonetheless.) Full Throttle Flight of the Amazon Queen Broken Sword (only completed No. II, though.) Maniac Mansion II: Day of the Tentacle Blade Runner
And maybe some others. Discussion and the ones that you've played are welcome. My personal faves from the list above are Monkey Island I, Sam and Max, Blade Runner and Toonstruck.

Point. Click. (I entered a room) Point. Click. (I killed a demon) Point. Click. (I killed another demon) Point. Click. (This demon has extra health!) Click. (There, NOW he's dead!) Point. Click. (I picked up a potion) Point. Click. (I entered the next room) Point. Click. (I killed a demon) Point. Click. (I killed another demon) Point. Click. (I entered the next room) Point. Click. (I killed a demon) Point. Click. (I killed another demon) Point. Click. (I attacked the boss) Point. Click. (I attacked the boss again) Point. Click. (I used a potion) Point. Click. (I attacked the boss) Point. Click. (I attacked the boss again) Point. Click. (I ran away from the boss) Point. Click. (I attacked the boss again) Point. Click. (I killed the boss) Point. Click. (I found my prize) Point. Click. (I left the room and the credits started) Point. Click. (I skipped the credits) Point. Click. (I quit the game) Point. Click. (I shut down my computer because the game was so boring)

Out of that list I played Curse of Monkey Island, but I also played Escape From Monkey Island (but that might not be point and click) Anyways both were really funny, but I end up quitting just because I get stuck and bored.

Cereal: I read that, and that "inspired" me, too . There's a lot more than that to these type of games. Most of these P'n'C's have no enemies, and in the case of the Lucasarts ones, no death opportunities, so you can concentrate on the puzzles. Lunar: Curse of Monkey Island is an excellent p'n'c, which if you either persist on or cheat on is IMO a rewarding experience. Escape from Monkey Island's system is like Grim Fandango's, apart from Escape From Monkey Island is really as boring as Cereal Hunter's description suggests, and is nothing in comparison. I got into RPGs through these things: I love playing these things because of the stories, the character interaction, etc. I don't really care about all the fighting, I get a bit bored of that after a while. A good puzzle any day of the week'll suit me.

Good ol' point and clicks.
I played Grim Fandango. Loaded up my bros save, he wanted me to help him, shockingly by chance I did two whole puzzles from having no idea what was going on ^_^

Guybrush Threepwood is my love slave.
But seriously, I LOVE point and click games. They need to be brought back. Or translated into Rm2k somehow. Hmmm....

I'm fond of the old classic point and clicks, such as Shadowgate, Deja Vu, and Uninvited (although I never beat Uninvited). The poor graphics mixed with the funny narratives of how your character dies is a hoot in my opinion. CEREAL HUNTER: Wow. You should play Shadowgate. It's more fun. The events for me go like this: ~You enter a hallway with a book~ TAKE book. ~As soon as you take the book, the ground gives way and you fall to your death.~ *Scenes later* ~You are in a room with a skeleton holding a key in a lake, which has a shark patrolling it.~ MOVE into the lake. ~The jaws of the shark grab you and pull you under. Before you die, the lake will be filled with your blood.~ *Furthermore* ~You are in a room with three mirrors.~ USE hammer on right mirror. ~You have opened a magic portal into deep space, and are immediately sucked through. The Grim Reaper quickly embraces you as you lose consciousness from lack of air.~ *But the kicker undoubtedly is* ~Oh! As you enter the closet, you see a sword!~ TAKE sword. USE sword on self. ~You thrust sword into chest!! Blood begins to flow!! Suicide won't help on your quest!! The Warlock Lord will surely triumph now!!~ Suicide was fun in that game...

I'm a little disturbed about how you actually found the last death.
Anyway the monkey Island games are cool. Never played 4 but the first three were great.
Full Throttle was good and all but I found it a little short.
Sam and Max. 5 words. Ha ha ha ha ha
Day of the Tentacle was the first adventure game I ever played and I still love it.
Grim Fandango was cool however it was lacking a certain something which I can't put my finger on.
Lastly Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis would probably be the best in terms of length, replay ability and puzzles.

Full Throttle was schweet. Short, like Wum said, but really well written, especially Ripburger's lines ^_^ Other PnC's . . . Discworld II was kinda fun.

Yes, the 3 discworlds are good. Beneath A Steel Sky is another good one. Unfortunatly that one can't be played without Dos
