Alright, you've all seen it in my sig when I posted, and it's about time I started talking about it. I'm developing a game called Mystic Grace 2, the sequel to a game my friend just finished a demo for. This is the basic rundown for the background story I.E. the past:
Long ago when gods walked the world of Megaera there existed a being only known as Sleipnir. It was his ambition to defeat the gods, and soon a war erupted. Kalron, the King of the Gods, created a race simply known as the Eternals to combat the hordes of Helheim. The greatest of the Eternals was one named Vermillion, whose strength parralelled with the gods themselves. Eventuallythe war came to an end, and Sleipnir was bonded in immortal chains and cast tio the depths of Helheim. Only four gods, Kalron, Lucia, Laos, and Kaes survived. In time Kalron grew corrupted, and another war was waged. In it Vermillion, who led the Eternals against the gods, lost his life, however it was foretold that Vermillion would rise again. The gods went to forge their own nations of believers;Kalron, God of Creation, forged Dathmir; Lucia, Goddess of Earth, forged <blank>; Laos, God of War, forged <blank>; and lastly Kaes, God of Balance, forged Menardis. Now the world waits for those who will stand and fight the corrupt gods.
Well, I definitely need help filling the blanks and I'm open to constructive criticism. I'll divulge more info after I get a few replies.

Yeah, my friend is working on getting more server space, and when he does and posts his demo on his server, then I'll add his link here.

I find the story very well-done... not stolen, but was conjured with previous knowledge... But what I WOULD like to know, is how the Heroes get involved in the story... Oh, and for the Blanks... <Terrian>, and <Rondith>... I don't know, just random names... (except "Terrian", 'Terra' is Latin for 'earth'... I believe).
Sounds like a great game altogether... Can't wait to here more!

Why are you making a sequel if your friend has only done a demo of the first?

Why make a sequel when the first game isn't done? That game will probably be the based-judgement on whether or not people will want to give the sequel a shot.

so, your friend dosent have the demo on the net yet and you are allready making the sequel? Thats not good Yes, but I made the prequel to his game, Mystic Grace: Wars of the Gods, and it's so old I don't even have the game file for it, so I know the whole story, I'm not just divulging into it at once I find the story very well-done... not stolen, but was conjured with previous knowledge... But what I WOULD like to know, is how the Heroes get involved in the story... Oh, and for the Blanks... <Terrian>, and <Rondith>... I don't know, just random names... Thanks for the help with filling in the blanks, although I'll wait for more input for the final say. The main characters do interact with the BG Stoy, but I don't have enough time to tell you how right now, but I will, later in the day.

Well, the background story is just that, a background. The actual story of MG2 takes place centuries later, in the Empire of Menardis. It centers upon Alex Daigaarm, the leader of ARCTURUS Special Team Five. It opens up with the team members lounging around the pub sharing a drink of alcohol. They get a mission about the 'Cursed Knight' which is really an Eternal named Talatusu, near the City-Nation of Linion.
<bump> C'mon people keep the topic alive!

It's about a mercenary named Zane. They will eventually join forces in 3. He kidnaps this princess in 1 and loses a good friend's life in the process. Modification: Could you maybe respond to the other comments, and not double post? It's called editing. Sorry, I was busy. The story is not stolen, but have heard of stories quite similar to this one. I also concur with FK's comment. Why make a sequel when the first game isn't done? That game will probably be the based-judgement on whether or not people will want to give the sequel a shot. Why make a sequel, hrm? well, I'm only making the first demo, which, btw, has nothing to do with 1. It's everything that occurs after the end of the demo that do.

Why make a sequel, hrm? well, I'm only making the first demo, which, btw, has nothing to do with 1. It's everything that occurs after the end of the demo that do. Again, what if people didn't like the first? Most people don't play sequels if they hated teh first, second, or so on.
