I am waiting for Rm2k3, but I much more prefer Sphere, the reason being, youc an do much more in sphere than you can with Rm2k/Rm2k3.

Has anyone got any screenshots of RM2K3? Because this is the first i've heard of it!
(I do live in England before you decide to take the **** ot of me!) because I Downloaded RM2K (Thank god I found it!) And not one of my mates had ever heard of it before!!!!!!!! ;D So I got alot of money out of my mates!

Am I the only one who wants to stay with rm2k? Not only do I not want to pay for it, but the rumors on it don't help. Supposedly you can only buy it online which is a real bummer, but it won't be nearly as flexible. Most small modification systems are supposed to transfer well, but large scale modifications like CBS's and completely custom CMS's won't even function at all. Seems like a dream come true at first, but I think they should put in stuff that isn't possible like increasing the maximum amount of pictures in the game. Technically you can make monsters HP 99,999 if you want. Heck, you can do it with your heroes if you have the experience. What I'm saying is rm2k3 is good for newer users, but I'm starting to understand how a CBS works, and to have to get stuck with a less flezible system will suck since I was planning to develop Lhz with a CBS. but by the time I'll be working on the game, rm2k3 will most likely screw up any plans I've had for working with rm2k in the future.

Paul, I agree with you. To import games from RM2K into Rm2k3 thegame Cannot have a cbs or cms. They are moving variables around and stuff from what I heard. The sytem will be a different layout (when it comes to events).

Magikoopa: While the switch and variable systems may be different, who's to say they aren't as good? For all we know, they'll be better!

Now a bit of common sense. If they've been working on a new RPGMaker, providing they aren't in the early stages, they'll HAVE to release it, even if only in Japan, because otherwise they'll have no way to pay for all the work that went into it.

RM2K3. Using that, from what I've seen, makes your games kinda like Final Fantasy 2 (a.k.a. 4). It was better battle graphics then field graphics.

Yes'em, I'll prolly wait for rm2k3 aswell, because of what use mentioned about the custom craphics and also you won't be able to give them to ppl over the internet unless u ship the game to them or something Yes so bring on RM2k3!!
