Who's the other person that likes pop?? I'm subject to a bit of pop here and now (inexplicably I really like Celine Dion's music, and I like other female singers...with big voices), although my tastes vary somewhat: Heavy Metal: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, etc; Progressive Metal: Dream Theater, Opeth; Progressive Rock: Yes, Genesis, Spock's Beard; Soft Rock: Matchbox 20, Savage Garden, Elton John; Rap: Tupac, Nas, whatever else takes my fancy (NOT 50 Cent ); Blues Rock: Bruce Springsteen, early Aerosmith; Alt / Indie Rock: The Smiths, R.E.M., Radiohead, Joy Division; Pop: Shania Twain, Celine Dion; OLD R'n'B: Barry White, Marvin Gaye; Pompous Operatic Rock: Meat Loaf, anything written by Jim Steinman (I mean anything); Miscellaneous: David Bowie, Slipknot, Enya. Just a brief summary of the music that I like.

60-80 Music is best. I like Bee Gees, ABBA, Elvis Presley, many of them, what my parents used to listen, when they were young.

Speaking of progressive metal... I got back into Dream Theater, surprisingly because of a certain Dragon Ball Z movie that I found recently in my room (The History of Trunks, I believe it was, haven't seen it in a few years). I've been listening to 'Beyond This Life' for quite a while now. ^_^ I didn't think I'd find music like Dream Theater in something such as that...

I was in HMV earlier on in Manchester (in t'UK), and I noticed that they had their latest up for £6.99, which is a bargain price. Same price as the Metallica albums actually; of course, it's much better value . One of my mates was telling me about a DBZ movie with Dream Theater music in it. I didn't believe him, although he said he'd do me a VCD copy of it. Not seen it yet, but I have something to look forward to ^_^. As for Guns 'n' Roses, Shiggeh, they go in my 'Pompous Operatic Rock' category. Well, 'November Rain' does, anyway *shudder*. Zheil: If you like 'Beyond This Life', it's part of their concept album 'Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory'. That should explain why the lyrics probably don't make much sense on their own. The live album of that tour is the only CD I need to complete my 'official release' collection aside from the debut with a different singer. Until the new live CD, of course ^_^.
