Oi. First post on the boards. As music is basicly my device of judgement for every human on the planet, this seemed like a good place to start. In my mind, Radiohead and Pink Floyd are the best bands on the planet. Intelligent music composed by skilled musicians. As far as Radiohead goes, if all you know is their radio hit 'Creep', then you haven't heard anything yet. It was from their first album, Pablo Honey, and represents a fraction of what they're capable of. Next time you get your Kazaa groove on, pick up Optimistic, Pyramid Song, or Let Down, then get back to me. I've also got my weird little bands that I like, such as Juno Reactor, Air (the airport music of the future), and The Pillows.

First thing: this board is basically dead now, go to the new RPG Town forums at the above link.
Second thing: Radiohead ROCK! I'm not quite sure how their symbol (your avatar) came about, but that's quite cool, too. I'm not a fan of Creep, though, I prefer OK Computer and Kid A stuff, comme 'Paranoid Android', 'No Surprises', 'Let Down', 'The National Anthem', and so on.
I'm a Pink Floyd n00b, although I'm into other proggy rock type stuff.

Mine are very specific...please let me know if your interested in any of the stuff I am...It's rare to know people who know who I'm talking or what abouts I'm talking...
1. Fusion (Return to Forever, Weather Report) 2. Jazz (Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Ron Carter) 3. Bluegrass (Bela Fleck) 4. Funk (Victor Lemote Wooten, Andrew Jackson *bass player of The O'jays, made famous song Money Money Money you hear from the show The Apprentice*, James Jamerson) 5. Rock (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani) 6. Classical (Nothing in particular, prefer allegro paced) 7. Electric Classical (No preference)
That's it.

Jack, I thuoght you were hardcore christian. All my CD's are edited. And the ones that can't be bought edited, I edit myself. And I don't use that sort of language either. Rap is just something that intrigues me and I enjoy listening to and studying it.

you can't really classify music.. they're only really like 2 types.. art and crap.. or artistc and commerical.. but since music is an art form it can not have a commerical side. so yeah.. though its also entertianment.. thats why bands like Anal thingy, Slayer, and other band that has silly song titles and such can still be considered art..

I listen to...
Emo (Bright Eyes, Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail) Indie (Coheed and Cambria, Finch, Bedside Redemption) Punk (NOFX, Alkaline Trio, Anti-Flag) Pop-punk (New Found Glory, Blink-182, Home Grown, The Starting Line) Hardcore (Saosin, Recover, Avenged Sevenfold) Metal (CKY, HIM, Gnarkill) Ska (Howards Alias, Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris) Anything else (Modest Mouse, Outkast)
But mainly, I'll listen to anything that actually has talent put into it, and no techno or rave music. I don't really like songs that repeat every 10-15 seconds.
